During the week, the student split their time contributing to and learning how to use the Apple program "Final Cut Pro" and researching and writing a double page spread for a magazine. Their findings helped them understand the language used in real media texts and what language would be suitable for their target audience of similar aged people interested in media and films. They chose to do an interview article because research showed their target audience preferred less technical language in magazines meant for leisurely reading and enjoyment. Specifically, they interviewed themselves as an up-and-coming young actor to follow a journey their target audience could relate to. They also worked with their group to begin editing filmed footage on Final Cut Pro, learning editing tools through trial and error and online research
