Daily Choices
Take you from
Where you are to
Where you Want
to Be: They add
up…
The Power Of Choice. Going from Where you Are to Where you WANT to BE
It is important
to remember
Your health
status isn’t
fixed. It’s
only the
starting point
of your
journey.
Are your daily choices moving you on a
path toward disease, or optimal health? You
ARE always on a path to one or the other…
It’s Not too
Late to Turn
Around
Can you see your path and How does that make you
feel?
Determine your direction and
harness your choices to get
you there
Now we focus on what we
want to create
Most changes are begun because we are trying to
solve a problem or get rid of an unwanted
situation.
This almost NEVER results in LASTING change!
Why does this happen?
Intense
Emotional
Conflict
i.e. feeling bad,
feeling fat
Intense Emotional

i.e. feeling bad, feeling fat
You take action!
i.e. working out,
eating better

You have
the power to
Stop the
Cycle and
Affect
Positive
Change….
Time to
Stop
Focusing
on the
Problem
Focus on the Solution
AKA What you WANT
and CAN do….
Focusing on “fixing my bad health” is focused on the
problem.
Focusing on “creating good health” is focused on the
outcome.
We are not simply talking about “positive thinking”, but
about the fundamental reasons that you do things!
If your motivation is to fix a health problem you have
now or might have in the future, you will probably be
back to your old ways within 2 years!
How will That
make you feel?
vs.
The Motivation factor is what makes the difference between
yo-yoing and creating Optimal Health That Lasts!!
WHEN the Ride
Gets Bumpy, I can
help!!
You may find an
occasional desire
for Support!!
Stop suffering from a
Cycle of Poor Habits,
Slowing Your
Metabolism, Turning
you into a fat Trap!!
Shift
Your
Motivation
We use the power of structural tension using your current reality
to propel you to where you want to be
You establish your
current reality
The Power Of Choice. Going from Where you Are to Where you WANT to BE
Write that down
Where do
you want to
Be?
Write THAT
DOWN!!
Making sure your goals are SMART
goals can help you achieve
success.
 SMART goals
 S=Specific
 M=Measurable
 A=Attainable
 R=Relevant
 T=Time Bound
32
Track Your Progress
 Pick a time each week to weigh yourself.
 Also measure yourself and try on the clothes you want
to fit into.
 Other measurable things can be tracked, like blood
pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, energy, and
stamina.
You have the Power of Choice!!
Are your choices leading you on a path toward optimal health or are
you moving toward a life of disease?
Make the choice that supports your more
important desire!
That means you have to know what your
most important desire IS!
Write that
down!!
There are 3 distinct types of choices:
 Primary
 Secondary
 Fundamental (we will discuss this one another time)
Primary choice: a major choice that you want MORE
than something else you also want.
What is more important: the benefits of a long and healthy life, or the short-lived
satisfaction of something that will harm your health?
Secondary choices are the actions taken to support the
primary choice.
The motivation for secondary choices is not because you
like doing them, but because you like the result of
doing them.
Often, secondary choices fall into two categories: Doing some things you
do not like doing;
Not doing some things you like doing. You make these
choices only because they support your primary choice
Remember to focus on what you want! And make
a list of secondary Choices that support YOUR
Goals.
Avoid lying to yourself about your motivation!
Recognize the reason you are adopting the choice is
because it will support something you really, REALLY
want!
The real power of choice is NOT
doing the easy and enjoyable,
but in doing things
critical to your goal.
Your goal needs to
be clearly defined
and it must be
yours. No one
else’s desires are
strong enough to
sustain your daily
behaviors.
Write down your most powerful REASONS
for wanting to achieve your goals. This is
your WHY
You may want to make a story board using
pictures to capture your desired outcome.
This can be a powerful exercise!
I can help with this….
