As a greener company, Revlon competes with manufacturers of beauty products , some of which already established themselves as green and sustainable companies. Revlon also stands to appeal to consumers that exhibit support for companies that care about the environment. By using a green approach, Revlon holds the possibility of meeting current standards of sustainability. An effort to market themselves as a green company gives Revlon stakeholders the confidence of knowing the organization meet consumer demand through exciting green technology innovations and use of sustainable resources. Revlon must pitch the Kabuki brushes ways that appeal to consumers, stakeholders, and environmentalist.
  • #4: Revlon’s  Premium Quality Kabuki Brushes stand amongst the best brushes in the world, not only in design, but also the materials and craftsmanship involved in the production of this product. Because of the surge in consumer interest in quality makeup and accessories, Kabuki brush demand surges higher. Revlon stands as a company prepared to meet this demand and exceed consumer expectations with quality brushes. In addition, the company points concerned consumers to the fact that these brushes represent a green, sustainable product.

In addition, Revlon strived to make a brush line that exceeded customer wants, needs, and expectations. The other factor influencing design elements involves forming a product that lives up to the standards of sustainability, corporate ethics, and responsible citizenship. This required Revlon to seek sustainable materials and best quality production practices, while considering consumer safety.
  • #6: Revlon Kabuki brushes are made using the softest fibers of goat hair. These brushes optimally suit application of mineral foundations, blushes, bronzers, and setting powders. The most affordable Kabuki brushes typically feature synthetic fibers; however, Revlon produces a comparable, natural product with an affordable price. Revlon ensures that the retrieval of the animal hairs follows cruelty-free, industry standards. In addition, Revlon ensures that the hairs face treatments that sanitize the hairs, in addition to treatments which discourage mold, fungal, microbial, viral, and bacterial growth. The handles of the Revlon brushes feature natural, hard wood fibers from repurposed, reclaimed, or recycled wood. Farmers within the United States supply premium Angora goat fibers for Revlon’s production of Kabuki brushes. In other countries in which Revlon manufactures Kabuki brushes, local farmers produce these goat fibers. This mean Revlon sustains communities within the company’s manufacturing zones.

For the first time, a UPS service integrates the company’s operational and customer-facing technology to eliminate unnecessary stops. UPS Smart Pickup is particularly compelling for customers who are interested in cost-effective ways to make environmentally responsible choices, while at the same time helping UPS reduce miles and lessen our carbon footprint” (para. 5).
  • #17: According to Scarpati (2007-2012), “the U.S. Department of Agriculture invests $136 million in biofuel research, which could be used to help green shipping” (para. 2). Biofeul stands as a possible answer to the issue of forming a better, greener, global distribution and supply chain. This initiative holds the possibility to end dependence on foreign oil, which would help Revlon in its efforts to sustain the national communities. Biofuel also holds the capability to save Revlon money as well if it proves to be a cheaper means of shipping, while lessening the carbon footprint produced through the shipment of Revlon products.
  • #18: The brush line gives Revlon the opportunity to present a product that speaks to the environmentally conscious consumer , while working effectively for all makeup wearers. The brush line , being a sustainable product, increases brand awareness, customer loyalty, and bottom line profits for Revlon. Consumers benefit because the price of these premium brushes compare evenly with lesser quality, synthetic brushes, but with more efficacy. Consumers benefit because their patronage of Revlon completes the cycle of supporting national communities. Finally, consumers benefit from the brush line because Revlon participates in green methods of production, warehousing, and delivery of this product, also adding to the safety of the consumer environment.
  • #20: This means that Revlon spares the environment of the potential damages that manufacturing tends to cause. The greener methods of production, storage, and delivery serve the environment because the Kabuki product stands as a role model for other manufacturing companies, which in turn prompts other companies to follow this example. This is a win-win situation for the environment thanks to the Revlon Kabuki brush’s example. Because the Kabuki brushes are made of natural fiber and natural wood, the product stands as a biodegradable product. The Kabuki brush finishes its life cycle as a product which returns to the earth, instead of adding to landfills.
