Adverb Review 
Time - explain when - now, today, tonight, yesterday… 
Time can go at the end of a sentence: I haven’t been to Taipei lately. 
Manner - how someone does something - happily, angrily, quickly… 
After the verb or before the main verb with passive verbs: 
The game was happily played by the young students. 
Frequency - how often - often, always, usually, never… 
Before the main verb/after be verbs: I usually shower at night. 
Degree - how much - much, a little, extremely… 
Before the adj/adv: I can’t date him because he’s very stupid. 
Comment - give the speaker’s opinion - luckily, clearly, obviously… 
Beginning of a sentence or clause, or after a comma at the end: 
Surely you’re not going to marry such an ugly man, are you?

actually means the same as in fact, or to tell 
the truth. 
*Sentences like I haven’t found a job yet and 
I still haven’t found a job mean more or less 
the same, but the use of still is often used in 
spoken English to show a stronger feeling.
