- 2. Ralph Lauren Heated Jacket
- 3. A heated jacket that was curated by Polo Ralph Lauren can be as high as $900. The design is called the “RL Heat Puffer’. From the outside, the jacket looks like a regular puffer jacket. The technology is greatly hidden within the interior of the jacket. The jacket even also has a little pocket where you can charge a battery pack for your phone. It came out in January of 2019 during the Olympic games. The jacket has Bluetooth, so your phone controls it. The creators of the Ralph Lauren heated jacket says the battery life can last up to three hours.
- 4. Heated jackets have been in the tech world for a while, but Ralph Lauren is the only one who have seemed to truly master the technique of the heated jacket. Ralph Lauren’s team didn’t make the jacket with any big wires. They used a carbon and silver ink conductor that is made into the fabric. Ralph Lauren feels that this new technique of flexible carbon silver ink can be used for other clothing in the near future.
- 5. The other perk that comes with the Ralph Lauren heated jacket unlike others, is the free app that allows you to adjust the heat settings in the jacket. Ralph Lauren’s new RL Heat Puffer is the start of new innovation in high-end fashion. Ralph Lauren developed the RL Heat Puffer to have a reputation as one of the tech-forward high-end brands.
- 6. Amazon Go
- 7. Amazon Cashierless StoreAmazon has opened twenty-five cashier-less grocery stores around the United States. Amazon has created “just walk out” technology. The first Amazon Go Grocery store opened in Seattle, Washington. The store will allow consumers to shop like a regular grocery store. The consumer will use the Amazon Go app to scan in before they enter the store before they shop.
- 8. While the consumer grocery shops, cameras, and sensors are able to track the items that are taken off of the shelves and those items appear in the shopper’s cart. When it is time for the consumer to leave the store, the consumer can leave without checking out because the card on file will be charged. The way that Amazon is able to make the grocery store cashiers is by A.I. driven technology.
- 9. This technology is to allows Amazon to offer its consumers to shop and pay without having to stand in lines. This can save consumers time. Amazon says the A.I. technology used in the stores can allow store staff to do duties that are more resourceful. A.I. allows for easy operation for consumers.
- 10. Smart Glasses
- 11. Microsoft, snap, Facebook, Google, Apple, Magic Leap and Amazon are all companies that are currently working on trying to perfect smart glasses. And use those in replace of computers. These tech companies believe that smart glasses would be beneficial to consumers due to the size and price. Smart glasses would be cheaper and easily accessible than big laptops that the consumer would have to carry around.
- 12. Theres a race right now of which tech company will be the first to actually perfect and produce the product of smart glasses. Everything so far that had been produced, for example, A.R. headsets are still too big, expensive, and dont look sleek or fashionable. Microsoft is currently in the works on producing A.R. products. The Microsoft Halo Lens Two is currently being tested by the Army to help them train for being on the battlefield. Right now the Halo Lens 2 is too big and expensive for regular consumers to buy.
- 13. Snap has glasses called Spectacles Three that allow consumers to take pictures and videos by just using their glasses. After the consumer takes the shot, Snap then gives an option to use an augmented reality effect. Google’s glasses are able give out information to the consumer, but not augmented reality. Some consumers did not like that the Google glasses were recording them. Just like Miscrosoft, Magic Leaps headset is too bulky for regular consumers. Their produc came out in 2018. Magic Leap’s glasses are mainly used for gaming. The A.R. feature in the Magic Leap glasses allows the consumer to still walk and see people while also being able to watch TV and more.
- 14. Even though Apple is one of the tech companies that is working in smart glasses, they have yet to produce anything just yet. Their product will launch in 2022. Facebook is the most successful company that has produced smart glasses. Facebook’s smart glasses allow you to be in a completely different digital world. Facebook teamed up with Luxottica to develop these glasses. Amazon’s smart glasses look the most normal out of all the products. The smart glasses look like regular lenses but have a speaker where Alexa is built in.
