Digital natives are people who grew up with technology and see it as an integral part of their daily lives for studying, working, playing and communicating. This includes students from elementary school through college, as well as some teachers and parents. Digital natives spend on average 3 hours per day online and have spent over 10,000 hours playing video games by age 18. Many American children start using computers between ages 4-6. While technology provides opportunities, it also raises questions around identity, privacy, safety, information sharing, creativity, education, and digital divides.
