Elevator Pitch
SELL YOURSELF . SAY MORE WITH LESS WORDS
Elevator What?
 An elevator pitch, elevator speech, or elevator
statement is a short summary used to quickly and simply
define a profession, product, service, organization or
event and its value proposition
Hmm….so can’t you call it
a “superman pitch”
The name is based on the idea of meeting a really important person you want to
talk to in an elevator.
Think it’s Rare?
Believe me it is not!
Where can YOU use it
 NO! They are not used only by salesmen
 You can use one to introduce your organization to potential clients
or customers.
 You could use them in your organization to sell a new idea to your
Boss.
 You can use it to tell people about the change initiative that you're
leading.
 You can even craft one to tell people what you do for a living.
How to write one?
I know you are excited 
Identify Your Goal
 Do you want to tell potential clients about your
organization?
 Do you have a great new product idea that you want to
pitch to an executive?
 Do you want a simple and engaging speech to explain
what you do for a living?
Explain What You Do
Ask yourself this question as you start writing:
what do you want your audience to remember
most about you?
I design beautiful websites for businesses.
I design beautiful websites for businesses
that bring them more customers and help
them sell effectively
Example please!
Communicate Your USP
We pay equal attention to SEO as design when building websites. Yes,
it takes more time to do that but we deliver far better results than our
“graduated” friends in the business.
Identify what makes you, your organization, or your idea,
unique.
Engage With A Question
 After you communicate your USP, you need to engage
your audience. To do this, prepare open-ended
questions.
 Make sure that you're able to answer any questions that
he or she may have.
Put It All Together
 Complete each of the mentioned sections separately and then
compile them all together.
 Build it up in a collection of few sentences.
 Keep in mind the time limit.
You don’t want the other guy to leave the elevator before you
finish, do you?
 Keep them……………………………………wanting more.
Practice

 Keep some take-away items with you, like a business
card or a brochure.
 Tailor it for different people.
