Digital Immersion is a program at Riverside that incorporates technology into learning by using web applications in the same way French Immersion incorporates French. It teaches students how to use apps and websites that are useful for school and everyday life. These include social networking, video sharing, wikis, blogs, and presentation tools like Google Docs and Prezi. Students are given a "digital backpack" allowing them to access these tools at home. Digital Immersion benefits students by facilitating note-taking, project collaboration, checking grades online, publishing work, and allowing teachers to create video lectures.
