Advantages of Print Circulation Quality/credibility Physically available – can be held in hands Employment Advantages of Digital Media Easy to update Democracy Convenience – choice of topic Specialised/ focus groups No censorship Digital Media Vs. Analogue Media
Digital Media Vs. Analogue Media Cons of Digital Media:   Accessibility Requires computer: To visit an online news source, user is required to be in front of a computer or internet providing source to access information, as opposed to having a physical copy that is accessible anywhere Class divide: Clear polarities between classes of those who have access to a computer and those who can’t afford to use online news media. People unable to access a computer will straight up not be able to access it at all, whereas newspapers are available to anyone who has some spare change.
Digital Media Vs. Analogue Media Data Integrity: Quality of sources: The more sites you click through, the more likely that your information’s sources will be skewed or watered down, or there is a lack of substance behind said news media. Blogs are still not a respected medium for news information, with a higher chance of them becoming opinion pieces and skewed than providing hard news that can be respected. Also issues with plagiarism, intellectual property, etc. Quality of connection/website/server/etc: Digital news media has the hurdles of internet connections, servers crashing, and errors in the coding of the actual website that need to be.
Digital Media Vs. Analogue Media Cons of Print Media Cost: Traditional print media such as newspapers and magazines are considerably more expensive than their digital media counterparts like news websites and blogs. Setting up and maintaining a news website is a relatively low cost solution, as everything is done online, the hassle and cost of raw material such as paper, labour, the printing process and distribution is nonexistent.    Reach: Print media has a very limited reach compared to digital media. Newspapers and magazines are printed in limited numbers and as a result are accessible only by those who subscribe or buy a copy. The print media audiences are usually local and region-specific. Flexibility: Print media is highly inflexible; it cannot be edited, retracted or updated once published. The news, once published is always a day old in the case of newspapers. Audiences are limited to what is on the page and cannot instantly cross check information or interact and comment on the articles.
