OpenMRS is an open source electronic medical record system with a standardized data model and API. It aims to provide a common health information infrastructure that overcomes the limitations of proprietary, vertical, acute care systems by being reporting-driven, using open standards, and providing a flexible model to support different health domains like HIV, TB, and primary care through engagement of developer and implementer communities.
