What to Do with Your Used IT Hardware

Well, first we must consider the impact the IT industry has on the world’s resources and economics, and secondly think about how widely electronics are used across the globe and continuously produced in the market. Robert Interjection - So what can you do with your old IT hardware?
• #4: There are options, Robert. In this webinar I’m reviewing two options that businesses have for their used hardware such as laptops, desktops, servers, and the like. Option 1 is to sell the hardware to be refurbished while option 2 is to recycle the hardware if it has been valued as end-of-life. Robert Interjection So what do these options mean, Shayan?
• #5: When choosing to sell hardware, as a business, you are being presented with an opportunity to earn the money back for reinvestment into newer hardware, which is always a great option, or money to be spent in a different area of your business. Who couldn’t use more cash, right? When you sell the hardware, it then goes through the process of refurbishment. This means the products are tested, verified to function properly, and are thus free of defects; they are also warranted and sold back into the market for a much lower cost than a brand new product. Keeping costs low is valuable for any company. If you are not sure whether your products hold any value, you can reach out to a company like Aventis Systems for a free evaluation. All you have to do is provide the hardware information. This is an important step if you are considering upgrading your current IT infrastructure, and would be a good way to get a credit towards an upgraded purchase and in turn costs savings for your business. Robert Interjection So what happens when your IT hardware is end-of-life and cannot be sold for profit?

Hardware that is recycled goes through a process of converting the possibly wasted material into reusable material, to reduce the need for conventional waste disposal and use of newer raw material.
