Main questions:
* How big of a difference
   does composting In
  schools have on the
     environment?
    *Are there any
     downsides to
     composting?
Excerpts from composting websites:

* “Teens can use composting as a * “Composting concerns
focus for scientific exploration or
research projects on a wide range
invisible half of the wheel of
of topics in Biology, Chemistry, life, nature’s cycle of growth
and Physics.” and decay.”

* “Composting turns animal waste into a product that is
easier to handle and provides the possibility of a saleable
product. But, composting is a commitment that requires
resources and time to manage the process.
How big of a difference does composting in schools have on the
                        environment?

* Composting has a made a positive impact towards several schools because in
present day, schools are trying to acknowledge that they are “environmentally
friendly.”

* Composting provides a way not only of reducing the amount of waste that
needs to be disposed of, but also of converting it into a product that is useful for
gardening, landscaping, or house plants

*Teaching kids about composting helps them understand how they can
personally contribute to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills each year!
Composting mini quiz:
1) Why isn’t medical and chemical waste placed in landfills?
       A. It would contaminate the land and water with
       dangerous poisons.

       B. It will cause the landfills up too quickly.

       C. It would prevent refuse from breaking down over time.

       D. It would contribute to global climate change.

       Answer: A
Question 2:
2) Why is the garbage in sanitary landfills surrounded by
layers of plastic and clay?
   A. To prevent the tops of the landfills from eroding away.
   B. To prevent waste from leaking out of the landfills.
   C. To prevent the waste from getting too hot or too cold.

   D. To protect the landfill against earthquakes.

   Answer: B.
Are there any downsides to
