- 3. We are more than a school OTMS is not just a school. We are a family here. A love and a passion to learn rest in this caring structure. Yes when you come to OTMS you are immediately accepted into our family.
- 4. Grades AT OTMS Here at OTMS we have outstanding students. There were 51 7 th graders on the A honor roll and 64 7 th grade students on the B honor roll. There where 73 8 th graders on the A honor roll and 82 8 th grade students on the B honor roll. If you think that you are ahead of your class we have alternative classes such as, Pre- Algebra (our advanced math class) or TAG (which stands for talented and gifted and is our advanced reading class) for the seventh grade and we have Honors English, Honors Social Studies, Honors Science, TAG and Algebra 1 for the eighth grade. Not only do we have advanced classes but we also have classes that can help you with your grades such as Math Achievement or Reading Achievement for your reading and math. Also you are more than welcome to stay after for tutoring with any one of your teachers on their selected day. We have very smart students here at OTMS. Return To Question Return to table
- 5. Teachers!! There are bad teachers at OTMS. The best advice I could give is to just stay on their good side and you will be safe. If I did have to pick favorites however I would choose the teachers in Explorers. They are the best in all of 7 th grade. I haven't really chosen any for 8 th grade but Mr. Crick the science teacher for the Navigator team has the coolest stuff in his room. So cross your fingers and hope for Mr. Crick. Mrs. Shropshire is one of the best teachers in 7 th grade. She is really relaxed and laid back and takes things nice and easy. She is very calm and handles everything calmly. - 6. After School Clubs Eighth graders have the best kind of clubs they have all the sports, robotics club, they rule the yearbook (even though we do get to help). But seventh graders can do some stuff like drama or choir. We can do Falcons for Christ which is kind of like a church group. Also you could do weight lifting. We also offer things like scholar bowl which is like a game show when you have to answer questions for your team. Whoever has the most points when the game is down moves on to the next meet. - 7. Students The students here are some of the best in the state. They are very helpful and as long as you make friends with the right people and stay out of trouble you will be fine… hopefully. Just kidding. Yes, we all love this school and are happy to wake up at 6 am every morning and come to school!
- 8. Our School Newspaper Yes as a school we have our own newspaper. It is very interesting too. just go to www.falcontalk.net and you can leave comments vote in our poll, read stories and anything else you want to do. So just go to that website and see what new stories we have posted.
