Why to give talks

  • #3: Before you actually continue ask yourself, why not? Maybe just submit the talk.
  • #4: The set of discouraging questions that might run through your mind, staring with I am not That ...
  • #5: You are smart, if you've come to this slide you are smart. You work in the creative industry, you deliver creative solutions – smart!!
  • #6: You don't have to be a great speaker, just be yourself and might come to amazing discoveries
  • #7: Although outlook really matters, concentrate on your topic and your personal charm as tool!
  • #9: Any topic is relevant. Listeners who to conferences are thirsty for new knowledge, inspiring talks – so, every subject can be relevant
  • #10: Yes, it will be. Even if it's not obvious now, be patient it might be on top of the market tomorrow!
  • #13: If english is foreign language for, just take your time. First you have to submit the talk and it is well before the actual event so you have time to get ready!
  • #14: Even English language has many accents. Use this as an advantage! Take time - practice pronunciation!
  • #15: All conferences and most of other types of events have microphones for speakers!
  • #17: He does support. It is you who submit the talk proposal. If you get accepted treat it as your bold bonus in the eyes of your management. Explain the business value for what your workplace will get for your presentation.
  • #19: There are tons of them. Use your favourite search engine (P.S. It can be event Twitter if you are creative)!
  • #20: Admission is free for speakers, which will save you a lots of costs.
  • #22: It can be done anywhere!!!
