Introduction
Content:
 How do I choose a wig quality: Synthetic, Human Hair or European
  Hair?
 How do I choose a wig size?
 How do I choose a net?
 How do I choose a style?
 How do I choose a color?

Terms:
 Multi directional parts: This feature creates a natural-looking scalp
    as each hair strand is individually knotted into the net, enabling the hair
    to be parted and styled every which way.
 Hand Made Nets: Completely hand made, each hair strand is knotted individually into the net.
 Machine Made Nets: Hairs wefted onto net with machine.
 Snap-on combs: Combs that are sewn onto the net and snap onto a person’s hair for a secure fit.
 Double-sided tape: Hypoallergenic tape used for people who do not have hair. One side of tape
    is taped on the net, the other on the person’s scalp.
 Synthetic: Wigs fashioned from synthetic fibres
 Human Hair: Wigs fashioned from Oriental hair
 European Hair: Wigs fashioned from Russian hair
Step 1: Select the Wig Quality

 A) Synthetic wigs: Fashioned from synthetic fibres (non-hair). Requires minimal styling. Wash wig on your own
once every 3 weeks ,if worn daily. Rinse and brush into style, (follow instructions on shampoo/conditioner bottles
for synthetic wigs.) Caution: Do not use any heat elements or coloring products as it will damage the wig.
Duration time: 3 – 9 months. Price range $70-300.

B) Human hair wigs: Fashioned from Oriental Human hair. More natural than synthetic, but still coarse. Some of
these wigs are made with multi directional parts. Use limited heat elements and coloring products. Requires
professional styling bi-weekly, if worn daily. Approximate duration time: 1 -2 years. Price range: $400-900.

C) European Hair Wigs: Fashioned from Russian hair. The most natural and silky wigs in the market. Ultra
lightweight. Made with multi directional parts. Use heat elements and colouring products as you would with your
own hair. Requires professional styling once every 4 weeks, if worn daily. Approximate duration time: 3-5 years.
Price range: $1000- 2000 .

Step 2: Measure your head size
With a flexible measuring tape, measure the circumference
of your head in inches, as shown in diagram.

Small = 21 inches

Medium = 22 inches

Large =23 inches

Step 3: Choose a net
Machine made:

Lays securely on head without using snap-on combs or double-sided tape

Handmade:
Ultra lightweight, but must have snap-on combs or double-sided tape to secure on
head.

All nets should have adjustable straps, to tighten or loosen net.
Step 4: Choose a style

Face structures are generally divided into 5 different face shapes. Stand in front of a mirror, pull your hair away from your face
and determine your shape. Follow the suggestions below for your most complementing style.
Step 5: Find a colour that blends with your hair

To do that, you must focus on your overall color, that is the tips and the roots. If you just try to mach the tips, you will
end up with a lighter colour wig, as roots are naturally darker. Most wigs are available in various blends of highlights, so
finding the perfect colour is easier than you can imagine .
Take a guess: which wig is synthetic?
