Important points: My community helps me learn. Kids need a community too that can extend beyond the classroom If students understand why this is important, they will buy into it There will always be something we don’t understand. It is more important that students recognize that we are always learning vs. we know a lot Patience
Think beyond content Thinking and process is the goal Difficult to be authentic for every topic  Be available for opportunities of change to differentiate instruction It is not about the technology: these are tools that allow us to teach differently Learning happens from reflection
Challenges Changing activities – decide what to keep, change, and what needs to be new  Measuring outcomes Choice of outcomes NCLB and standardized testing Decide your goal first
