WINDOWS 8.1 DEPLOYMENT METHODS 2.1 REFRESH SCENARIO Similar to a new installation, the refresh scenario performs a clean setup. The difference is that the target computer already contains Windows, for which files and settings will be preserved. This scenario is especially useful in the event that preserving the user state is a priority.

The c: and d: drive will now be converted into one drive.

Note that on the Available Software tab Windows 8.1 Update 1 is now ready for installation.

It also depends on what Software is linked to the users profile on SPS. After the installation you will be greeted with the New Windows 8.1 logon screen. The installation can take approximately 4-6 hours. This concludes the installation procedure.
