(1)  How to move cursor around the document? USING MOUSE POINTER I Position the mouse pointer at the new location and click. The cursor moves to the new location. USING KEYBOARD KEYS Press these keys To move Right arrow (  ) One character to the right Left arrow (  ) One character to the left Up arrow (  ) Up one line Down arrow (  ) Down one line <Ctrl><Right arrow (  )> Beginning of next word <Ctrl><Left arrow (  )> Beginning of current or previous word <Page Up> Previous screen <Page Down> Next screen <Ctrl><Home> Beginning of the document <Ctrl><End> End of the document
(2)How to select the Text To Select Do This Any amount of text Click and drag over the text. A word Double click the word or place cursor anywhere in the word. A graphic Click the graphic. A line of text Moves mouse pointer to the left of the line until it changes to a right pointing arrow, and then click. Multiple line of text Moves mouse pointer to the left of the line it changes to a right pointing arrow, and then click and drag up or down. A sentence Hold down <CTRL> key, and click anywhere in the sentence. A paragraph Moves mouse pointer to the left of the line until it changes to a right pointing arrow, and then double click or triple click anywhere in the paragraph. Multiple paragraph Moves mouse pointer to the left of the line until it changes to a right pointing arrow, and then double click and drag up or down. A large block of text Click at the start of the selection, scroll to the end of the selection, and then hold down <SHIFT> key and click at the finishing point. An entire document Moves mouse pointer to the left of the line until it changes to a right pointing arrow, and then triple click or <Ctrl> + A.
(3)  How to deselect Text/Objects? Using Mouse: To deselect any amount of text or objects you have selected, just click anywhere on the document. Using Keyboard: To deselect any amount of text or objects you have selected, just press one of the arrow keys. (4) How to move Text/Graphics? Select the text or graphics you want to move. Click Cut button on the Standard toolbar. Open the document in which you want to paste and position the cursor at the appropriate place Click Paste button on the Standard toolbar.
(5) How to copy Text/Graphics? Select the text or graphics you want to copy. Click Copy button on the standard toolbar. Now the copied item is placed on the Clipboard. Move cursor to the position where you want to paste. Click Paste button on the standard toolbar to paste the copied item. (6) How to delete Text/Graphic? Select the text or graphics you want to delete. Press <Delete> key Use <Backspace> key to delete one character to the left. Use <Delete> key to delete one character to the right.
To Move Text/Graphic With Drag & Drop Method Select the text or graphics you want to move. Click and drag the selected text or graphics to where you want to move it. Leave mouse button. To Copy Text/Graphic With Drag & Drop Method Select the text or graphics you want to copy. Hold down <Ctrl> key as you click and drag the selected text or graphics to where you want to copy it. Leave mouse button.
(7)How to check spelling and grammar? Click Option menu Choose Spelling and grammar. If you want to change the text press change button or if not press Ignore Once button.
(8)How to change case? Click on  Format  menu. Select  Change Case . The change case dialog box will appear as shown in figure. Choose the options for require case. Press Ok button.
(9)How  to  make drop cap? Select the text. Click Tools menu. Select Drop Cap. Click Dropped or In margin. Choose or type Line to drop. Choose or type Distance from text. Press Ok button.

(12)What is save and save as; print and print preview?   (i) Saving An Unnamed Document Click  F ile  menu and choose  Save  command. Save as dialog box will appear as shown in figure. Type the name of the document in the  File name  text box. The document name can be as long as 255 characters, but it’s advisable to make it short for easy reference and identification. To save the document in different folder or drive, choose different folder or drive form  Save in:  drop down box or click a different folder at Place Bar column. To save the document in a new folder, click Create New Folder button. For more option on saving, click Tools drop down menu on the Save As dialog box. Click  Save  button.

(ii) Saving An Existing/Modified/Altered Document Click  F ile menu and choose  Save  command. This process will update the existing document if there are any changes done.
(iii) Saving Document With A Different Name This is normally done when you want to maintain the original contents of the document and keep the modified file in another file or when you want to make another copy of the same document with different name. Open the document, which you want to make another copy. Click  F ile  menu and choose  Save As… command Type new document name in the  File Name:  text box. Click Save button.
Avoid This File name cannot include any of the following characters: (1)Forward Slash( \ ) (2)Back Slash( / ) (3)Greater Than Sign( > ) (4)Less Than Sign( < ) (5)Asterisk( * ) (6)Question Mark( ? ) (7)Quotation Mark( “ )  (8) Pipe Symbol( | ) (9) Colon( : ) (10)Semicolon( ; )

(13)How to draw the Table To draw the Table Click on  Table  menu Choose  Insert Table . Insert table box will appear as shown is figure. Choose Number of columns and number of rows. Press OK button.
To draw the following table,  Click Table menu then  Choose Insert Table.  Type or Select 5 at number of columns. Type or select 4 at number of rows then press OK button. To go to next cell, press Tab key. To adjust column/row width, double click on border of the column/row. To insert cell/column/row, put cursor on the cell and click Table menu, choose insert cell/column/row.
To delete cell/column/row/table, put the cursor on the cell/column/row/table, click Table menu, choose delete cell/column/row/table. To split cells, put cursor on the cell to split, click Table menu, choose split cells then select or type number of columns and number of rows then press OK button. To merge cells, select two or more cells, click Table menu, choose merge cell. To split table, put cursor at require row, click Table menu, choose split table. Then press enter key. To merge table, put the cursor between the tables, press backspace key and delete key. To change the table style, put cursor on the table, click Table menu, choose
