The (fr)Agile Truth
Agile is a process;
it is not a solution in itself.

Many believe they are “agile” when, in fact,
they are running in circles with no plan.

“They think they are working in an agile
process, but they are only dealing with the
fire at their feet day after day.”
                 - A 2.0 mobile client

“Agile means no spec, a tight deadline
          and high expectations.”
                 - A 2.0 mobile client

You cannot affect every part of your organization,
but you can start with a small part
and improve it one piece at a time.

Shu is the state of learning,
adopt procedure without modification.

Ha is the state of detachment,
understand methodology via mastery of
         technical mechanisms.

Ri is the state of transcendence,
now methodology can become your own.

flow

Flow also happens when a person's skills are fully involved in
overcoming a challenge that is just about manageable, so it acts as a
magnet for learning new skills and increasing challenges.

If challenges are too low, one gets back to flow by increasing them. If
challenges are too great, one can return to the flow state by learning
new skills.

flow

In Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's book,
flow is defined as being so totally
absorbed in what you're doing
that you lose track of time.

You even lose track of you as a
separate self.
