Editor's Notes

  • #5: These are the partners currently involved in the partnership. SAFS aims to deliver a cost neutral service to it’s partners and provide a ‘value for money’ service. In addition, SAFS aims to provide the following: A data hub for Hertfordshire to share information Improve the reach and understanding of non-benefit and corporate fraud within the county Develop services that can be marketed to external bodies To create a recognised ‘centre of excellence’ Formed of five district councils – NHDC, BBC, SBC, EHDC and Hertsmere, in association with HCC. A service formed to provide fraud prevention, detection and investigation service to its partners in all areas of fraud against the council A team of two managers, five counter fraud investigators, a data co-ordinator and two intel officers. To branch out to all areas of non-benefit fraud/corporate fraud Based at Hertfordshire County Council in Robertson House in Stevenage. These images give an example of what we do. We offer crime prevention, detection and investigation services to our partners. Part of this includes training like we are delivering today or any specific fraud training that you would be interested in such as identity verification.
