ASSIGNMENT ON 
WORKSHOP
INTRODUCTION 
Language Workshop will explore the linguistic and cultural factors that 
influence our English and share ways to honor home language while helping 
students write and read mainstream English. Including different cultures in our 
everyday study of literature serves many purposes. Valuing our students and 
their home cultures and languages, as well as exposing all students to rich 
literary and language experiences. This workshop will discuss strategies for 
English learners. In the language workshop, learners are well molded, and 
show great interest English learning. Their hidden abilities and talents are 
come in light by these certain workshop. 
WORKSHOP -MERITS AND DEMERITS 
In education a workshop is a brief intensive course, a seminar or a series 
of meetings emphasizing interaction and and exchange of information among 
a usually small number of participants. 
MERITS 
1) Users are usually very motivated. 
2) Have flexibility over length and frequency of sessions. 
3) Can offer a series of workshops that build on one another. 
DEMERITS 
1) Users attending may have a broad range of skills. 
2) May have difficulty, getting a room if classroom space is in short 
supply. 
3) May be hard to fit everything that you want to cover in to a single 
workshop. 
4) Handing large classes for hands – on practice may be difficult.
WRITING WORKSHOP FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS 
This workshop will focus on how to get started in writing workshop. 
Participants will learn strategies specific to English learners. Scaffolded 
lessons will attend to vocabulary needs. Teacher will see how to present 
authentic writing experiences so that students are ensured comprehensible 
input and are actively engaged in learning. While the work of the English 
language program is geared toward English language learners, developing a 
professional writing style and organizing one’s ideas are challenges that all 
students face. This workshop focuses on qualify writing instruction within the 
parameter of open court. Special attention will be given to meeting the needs 
of English learners and planning for standards based literary instruction. Does, 
second grade English learners like to write six paragraphs essays ? This 
workshop will focus on strategies that promote dramatic growth in writing 
including not-taking, oral rehearsal, graphic organdies and pair-sharing 
participants will be guided to generate their on writing to use as the compare 
and contrast narrative and expository texts and then view students work 
sample. When students have completed a first draft of a multi draft essay. 
While students can be of great use of their pears, the experience expertise of 
teacher is essential. What do you say to students who have emirs in every line, 
who don’t yet understand how to introduce an essay, who have some brilliant 
ideas but also have sentence that are not intelligible workshop engage in 
discussions of student work and come up with more than one answer.
COAXING THE VOICES OF ENGLISH LEARNERS 
IN WORKSHOP 
English learners often send their school days in silence. As teachers, we 
need to provide opportunities for students to speak the language they are 
acquiring. During this workshop we’ll explore strategies that can coax student 
voices out into the English Speaking World look at specific texts and activities 
that have helped students gain Confidence and voice in their second language. 
Workshop will also discuss the importance of developing a ’present’ in any 
language. 
PROGRAM FOR BEGINNING ENGLISH LEARNER 
In this workshop we’ll explore instructional practices that increase the 
effectiveness of the High point lessons with journaling, note taking and 
reading/writing to-learn activities to help students develop a sense of 
themselves as powerful, mature learners. 
ACADEMIC PROTOCOLS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE 
WORKSHOP 
English learners need to learn everyone second language ’ academic 
language and writing. This workshop will focus on academic protocols ’ 
language that makes writing ’sound’ sophisticated and cohesive and strategies 
to use these protocols with your student.
LSRW SKILLS ARE DEVELOPED IN WOKSHOP 
Listening skills may be developed through working on the 
following: 
Give training to, 
1. Listening for general content. 
2. Listening to fill up information. 
3. Intensive listening. 
4. Listening for specific information. 
Developing speaking Skills by 
Give training to, 
1. Oral practice. 
2. Describing objects. 
3. Group activities. 
4. JAM sessions 
Developing Reading skills by 
Give training to, 
1. Skimming the text. 
2. Reading and understanding of textual materials. 
3. Understanding the gist of an arguments. 
Developing Writing Skills by 
Give training to, 
1. Narration. 
2. Note making. 
3. Editing a passage. 
4. Formal and informal writing 
5. Writing sentences.
CONCLUSION 
Any way activities of English language workshop will help students develop a 
sense of themselves as powerful, nature learners. This workshop can find out 
how students can work in co-operation learning groups. This workshop will 
give light to our hidden talents and abilities in English language learning. And 
this will valuing our students and their home cultures and languages as well as 
exposing all students to rich literary and language experience.
