- 9. Seniors Every Thursday, beginning Oct 6th, the Language Arts Department is offering help in drafting, revising, and editing for college application essays. Come by Mr. Pyne’s class in Rm. 430 Thursday after school from 2:30-3:30 for assistance. Please have a draft ready to edit, as well as the question the college is asking.

- 15. ATTENTION The annual West Orange Shakespeare competition will be held Tuesday, December 13, after school in the auditorium. Each contestant should memorize a monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays. The monologue should be close to but not over 20 lines. Please bring with you, 4 printed copies of the memorized monologue for the judges. Any questions? See Ms. Rose in room 431 or Mr. Rush. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and the winner advances to the next level of competition.

- 19. ATTENTION Come join the Drama Department on Wednesday, November 30, as they present their District Showcase. It’s a full evening of entertainment with the first act featuring their play, “Victorian Silence,” (with a new cast & ending) which just took home 1st place overall and 2nd place for Best Tech at the Florida Theatre Conference. The second act will feature a glimpse at some of the talented individual events the drama troupe is taking to competition later this week.
