School Lunch Essay
Skipping Dessert
When I was younger, I vividly remember the vast amount of delicious food that was offered every day
in my school lunchroom. The food that I use to describe as good food, I am beginning to undoubtedly
recognise for the unhealthy junk that it actually is. There are countless others who also notice how
horrible these foods are to feed children in school cafeterias. Today, those same cafeterias are
tremendously different from the ones I remember from when I was little, and they are always
continuously changing. The amount of options we are offered have not lessened, they have simply
changed. Instead of having the option to purchase nachos, we now are given the option of baked fries.
Also, instead of having a dessert of an innutritious brownie, we now are given a large variety of sweet
fruits to choose from instead. While some students distinguish these changes as a catastrophe, I can
understand the importance of having students skip dessert during a school lunch. Allowing the NSLP
to regulate what is served in school lunches would help parents trust that their children would be
getting healthier foods at school, help to combat the epidemic of obesity and malnutrition in the
United States, and assist in educating children on healthy diet choices.
In the article School Lunches , the author discusses whether or not the government s National School
Lunch Program (NSLP) should be allowed to regulate what is served in school lunches. The NSLP is a

Lou Gehrig Biography
There are some people who are fortunate enough to hit a home run in their game of life. But in his
usual fashion, Lou Gehrig hit a huge grand slam in his. And to this day, number 4 in pinstripes is one
of the most influential baseball players to ever play the game.
Lou Gehrig was the son of German immigrants. He grew up as a very shy momma s boy in the Upper
East Side of New York city. His mother, Christina Gehrig, was extremely hard working and wanting
the best for her family. She had a passion to ensure Lou had an education so perhaps he could become
an engineer. She wanted him to get out of the series of poverty the she and her husband lived through.
She always insisted that hard work was the answer to success in America.
Lou followed in his mom s footsteps, and became a very hard working individual. In school, for
instance, he was so proud of his perfect attendance that he wouldn t allow any sickness to cause him to
miss school. He was born big, uncoordinated, and not a natural baseball player. (Lou Gehrig UXL

luckiest man on the face of the earth. And I might have been given a bad break, but I ve got an awful
lot to live for. Lou was always thankful for what he had. And his statistics never really showed who he

Pleasing Films for Historians and Mainstream Audiences
The transition from historical information to cinema is often a dangerous and controversial road, few
films are able to consistently please both historians and mainstream audiences. The topic of Sino
Japanese relations and China s anti Japanese war is frequently explored in the medium of film. Films
such as City of Life and Death, Norman Bethune: The Making of a Hero, Devils on the Doorstep, The
Last Emperor, Nanking, Flowers of War and The Inn of the Sixth Happiness all seek to investigate this
turbulent period in Chinese history and to reflect upon the many different perspectives involved.
Although the medium of film can never accurately portray history or ever hope to achieve the detailed
work of a scholarly source, it can provide an emotional understanding of some of the most chaotic
periods of human history. The Second World War involved more than 100 million people from thirty
different countries resulting in the deadliest conflict in human history. How can anyone make sense of
that on paper other than listing the number of casualties? Film, deeply aware of its limitations has
become a different form of understanding the past, capable of taking a particular event such as war
and exploring universal themes. Historian Natalie Zemon Davis states that: Historians want to
chronicle what happened, to be sure, but also to explain why it happened and what difference it
made...Although there is an inevitable dialogue between the past and the present, the

Immersion In Art Realism
In the beginning video games such as Spacewar! (1962) started with little to no graphics displayed on
small black and white oscilloscope screens. As technology in video games improves so does our
ability to display larger more detailed graphics and images, leading to beautiful hand drawn and
animated games such as Dark Stalkers (Capcom 1994) and Lori and the blind forest (Moon Studios
2015). Along with this improvement in technology and graphics, the search for more immersive
experiences has also grown whether it be the NES Power Glove (1989), Battle Tech centres (1990) or
the HTC VIVE (2016) the game industry wants to take the immersion that one step further. But how
important is realistic visual representation to the flow of a game? Csikszentmihalyi believed that there
are eight elements of flow within video games; a task that can be completed, the ability to concentrate,
clear goals, immediate feedback, a sense of control, player skill matching challenge, self concern
disappears, sense of time being altered. The aesthetics within video games don t seem to effect any of
the elements Csikszentmihalyi has given us and yet we strive for bigger and better graphical
experiences to increase the realism of our gameplay.
Immersion in art Realism was broadly considered the beginning of modern art due to the belief that
everyday life and the world around us was a suitable subject for artists who wished to portray the truth
within our society. Unfortunately when photography

1. When running Snort IDS why might there be no alerts?
When using Snort IDS, there are several modes that if configured properly, will generate alerts. Alerts
are set by the user within the command prompt when initiating a rule set. There are five alerting
options available with Snort IDS. According to (Roesch, 1999), Alerts may either be sent to syslog,
logged to an alert text file in two different formats, or sent as Win Popup messages using the Samba
smbclient program. If there has been no alerts, the selected rule set was set may not have been enabled
by the user. Another scenario where alerts may not occur is when another task is being performed.

5. What are the advantages of using rule sets from the snort web site?
There are several advantages of using the existing rule sets already created on the Snort web site. One
advantage of using the existing rules is that they have been created to work effectively against the
common vulnerabilities. Creating your own rule sets require a working knowledge of Snort and
having the outcome of the created rule may not yield the desired effect that the administrator is
seeking.
6. Describe (in plain English) at least one type of rule set you would want to add to a high level
security network and why?
A rule set that I would add to a high level network would be an app detect rule. With this rule the
traffic that occurs in various applications that deal with the network would be controlled. This is
especially important because if an application within the network is compromised, it could be utilized
to gain access to the network.
7. If a person with malicious intent were to get into your network and have read/write access to your
IDS log or rule set how could they use that information to their advantage?
If someone with malicious intent was to gain read/write access to your IDS log or rule set, they could
use that information to determine how your IDS was configured. Especially if detailed logging is set

What Are The Arguments Against Pro Life Defense
Gillian Torchia
Mr. Lowry

7 February 2016 Defense for the Defenseless In 2008 there were 1.21 million abortions performed in
the United States. That is three thousand three hundred and twenty two abortions performed each day
(Guttmacher Institute). The topic of abortion has been a heavily talked about topic for the past few
years. There are two sides of the issue, pro life, which is against abortion and pro choice, which is for
abortion. Abortion should not be legal because it is a scientific procedure, it is currently supported by
law, and deprives fetuses of a future like ours. One of the main arguments against the pro life
movement is that the fetuses that are being removed are not humans and therefore do not have basic
rights. When human sperm penetrates a human ovum, a zygote is formed. A zygote is undeniably
human because it composed of human DNA that is unique from both the mother s and the father s
individual DNA. From this, it can be concluded that abortion operations affect more than just the
mother and her rights, it now includes the rights of the fetus. Also, the human zygote fulfills the
scientific definition of an organism. The human embryo is a complex structure of independent
elements designed to carry on the activities of life by separately functioning but mutually dependent
organs. The human zygote also fulfills the four main categories of biological life: growth,
reproduction, reaction to stimuli, and metabolism. Reaction to stimuli

Challenges within the 56th HBCT Essay
The purpose of this memorandum is to discuss leadership and development issues and
challenges within the 56th HBCT. I have identified 8 issues and challenges that currently plague
the unit and are having an adverse effect on it and our soldiers. Additionally, discussion will
focus on the top three of these issues as well as the importance of resolving the most important
one of them with the greatest of speed.
While the unit was successful in accomplishing all of their missions in Iraq, the CALL s
extensive study identified several issues that I believe will have an impact on our future
effectiveness. The command and control at battalion and below levels was, at times, greatly

also required to act as the BCT chief of staff. These various assignments throughout our AO
caused confusion amongst staff and soldiers on what the DCO s role actually was and what he
was responsible for. Allowing the DCO to function as deputy commander is vital to ensuring
that our unit command structure remains in place.
I was recently contacted by the brigade provost marshal and informed about an undocumented
report of a brigade sniper shooting and killing and Iraqi civilian. I was further informed that the
soldier who reported it to provost marshal had previously informed it to the Brigade S 2 but it
was not clear if any investigation had been done on this matter. The reporting soldier has also
threatened to take the story to the media if nothing is done. While this matter is currently being
investigated, I believe that the root cause of this problem was the lack of properly trained snipers
at the platoon level. While the MTOE authorized one per platoon, the operating environment
required more. This resulted in undertrained snipers being deployed. An increase in the number
of school trained and authorized snipers could have resolved this problem.
Another organizational challenge that currently faces the 56th HBCT

Essay Submission Poetically Cromulent
My Folio 2 submission Poetically Cromulent is a free verse poem intended to lampoon traditional
conventions of poetry and the English language. Though targeted primarily towards students, I feel the
piece can appeal to anyone who has experienced the ambiguity and subjectivity of literary analysis.
The central theme of the poem: something spurious attempting to appear legitimate, is blatantly
revealed in the title. Most readers cannot decipher this meaning, however, due to the recondite nature
of the term Cromulent . The arrogant and pompous tone is perhaps the most prevalent feature of the
poem and is vital in my characterisation of the narrator. I establish tone with the ironic opening line

The writer describes himself as a holy grail [monk] that [has] hit the books too much , suggesting he
has obtained his mastery of language through intensive study. This double entendre, however, is also a
reference to the infamous Monty Python and The Holy Grail procession scene, undermining the writer
and likening English to a religion blindly followed by brain dead disciples. All remaining biblical
allusions form an Garden of Eden allegory; one which elevates the narrator to god like status. I portray
myself as the forbidden tree whose branches offer mellifluous fruit , inferring that I am a source of
infinite wisdom. By extension the students represent the Adam and Eve, archetypes of naivety, who
expect to be struck in the eye by the serpent of sibilance , representing analysis of sibilance,
alliteration, consonance and onomatopoeic techniques which are perceived as unsophisticated.
Ultimately, the students succumb to the temptation of consulting the writer. Just as Adam and Eve
were cursed by the fruit, so too are the pupils with the knowledge of how to exploit the superficiality
of English. The ability to mask poor content and analysis by exploiting intricate language such as

Essay Comparing The Tempest And This Lime Tree Bower My...
The process of discovery can be hidden and unexpected, having the potential to expand one s
understanding of the world around them and enhance their desire to reconsider what is known. This is
evident in the play, The Tempest by William Shakespeare, composed during the renaissance and
humanism era, and the poem, This Lime Tree Bower my Prison by Samuel Coleridge, written during
the romanticism era. Both these texts explore similar aspects whereby the protagonists is forced into a
vulnerable position and the barrier of their conflicted minds obstructs them from forming new
perceptions. The Tempest accentuates the importance of integrating worlds to develop positive
interactions and overcome conflicts. Similarly, Coleridge s poem highlights ... Show more content on

Prospero s assertive tone, Spirit. Did you carry out the storm just as i ordered? Prospero s innate

Color In Rochester High School
Color is a universal, nonverbal language, and we all intuitively know how to speak it, a color
consultant, Leslie Harrington says (Freeman 2.) Color is an everyday part of life for most people.
Everything that we see is in color, from the clothes we put on in the morning, to the stop lights while
driving, and the colors of the walls in our classrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, you name it, color is in
everything. With that, when you walk into Rochester High School, you see the same three colors over
and over again, and it is not only in the high school, but in every school in the district. Orange, Blue,
and beige. It is incredibly boring to see the same three colors every single day during the school years,
for 12 years of our lives, because every school in the district has the same color scheme. Therefore, we
should paint the walls of Rochester High School, and maybe even the other schools in the district,
with a bright yellow color, because it will directly affect the emotions and attitudes of the students and
faculty, and will provide the school with an individual look. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

behavior. F.H. Mahnke says in his work about environment and human response, Color is also a part

Ancient Greece And Rome During The World
Ancient Greece and Rome are some of the most famous time periods in the world, but what influenced
them? Ancient Greece lasted roughly from 1000 400 B.C.E while ancient Rome was from 753 B.C.
476 A.D (Cole and Symes, 75). The Greek alphabet was influenced by Phoenician sea traders and
their art was mostly influenced by Egypt and western Asia. On the other hand, Rome was influenced
by the Greek and derived the alphabet, many of their religious beliefs, and much of their art (Cole and
Symes, 147). Ancient Greece and Rome were influenced by the Ancient Near East sedentary societies
through art, religion, and architecture. Greece was the first society that was male dominated . Also,
sexuality was a part of everyday life for Greeks. If home owners did not offer hospitality to certain
groups of people, then they would be sentenced to death (Garcia Lecture 2/3/16). The Greeks had
extremely strict rules with education and training. Greece is also known well for their world famous
philosophers such as Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, and much more. Ancient Rome started as a small town
in central Italy, but developed into a vast empire, including continental Europe, Britain, much of
western Asia, northern Africa and the Mediterranean islands. Although Rome was influenced by many
aspects of Greek life, they downplayed their influence in mythology, preferring to emphasize their
alleged descent from the Trojans (Cole and Symes, 147). The social structure of Rome was based on

Texas V Johnson Case Summary
Do your constitutional rights protect you from state laws? In 1989 Texas v. Johnson, Johnson had
burned an American flag and Texas state law protects the American flag from being burned when the
flag burner knows it will seriously offend others. Johnson was then arresting and tried, then the case
went all the way to the Supreme court. Johnson claimed he was expressing his right to free speech.
Flag burning conveyed a political message. Preserving the flag was related to the suppression of
expression. There was no breach of peace. Johnson burning the flag was indeed free speech and he is

Corporate Failure is a situation when a company suffers from a huge mistake about a

Causes of Failure of Wells Fargo Missing Corporate Governance Issues
This scandal was an unexpected situation because it was unveiled in September 2016 when
the internal investigation had just began. The former CEO, John Stumpf announced that the
fake accounts had started to open since 2011. During this 5 year period, the Wells Fargo

Summary Of Ghosts Of Ole Miss
Quint Swanberg
Professor McCarthy
Business Ethics
16 October 2015
Ghosts of Ole Miss Every higher institution of learning has their own set of myths and history. Some
of them may be vaguely true and some may be highly influential. The history of the institution may
have a negative effect on those who look to apply or be a part of the institution. The history of a place
sets the epitome of future enrollees. Some of the ghosts that haunt any college may have an extremely
negative impact on how they are viewed today. This negative perception of the university can lead to
strong economic deficits. Throughout trying to combat negative concepts that are thrust upon an
institution, they have resolved issues of ethics, violence and, to most importantly, boost cohesion and
moral. Throughout this essay, I will be examining the effects of one of the most controversial
university enrollments. James Meredith paved the way for African American acceptance into a
historically all White University. No matter how much adversity Meredith would encounter, he would
not give up or give in to institutional racism. The want to keep Ole Miss segregated by those there did
not hinder his success. In an attempt to end racial segregation, the Supreme Court ordered the
admittance of James Meredith to the campus. This action was a clear defiance of racial segregation.
This resulted in an abundant amount of not only riots but also casualties. Meredith paved the way for
other African Americans

The Public Good Be Damned, By Hank Rearden
At his trial, Hank Rearden declares: The public good be damned, I will have no part of it! What does
he mean? How does this issue relate to the novel s theme?
When Rearden declares: The public good be damned, I will have no part of it! he refuses the looters
insistence of sacrificing his production and happiness for the sake of others. He is attacking
Collectivist philosophy by accepting reality; one must produce for their own self interest in order to
pursue their own happiness. The Collectivist s persistently try to deny reality and thereby break
Aristotle s law of existence: A is A (1038) . If one believes A is not A, logically they contend a person
s sole motive to live is not for himself, rather, to live for others. This premise of self sacrifice prioritize
faith, charity, and force above all else. His declaration condemns the entirety of this value system and
coincides with the philosophy of Atlas Shrugged; Collectivism is evil because of it ability to drain the
mind of its volitional consciousness (1012) and the assumption of rights based on need, as opposed to
ability.
Although he is preaching Objectivism, Rearden lives according to this philosophy only partially. An
Objectivist believes a person s highest moral purpose is to pursue happiness through their values. He
obtains the values, but subjects himself to guilt and shame for them. As Francisco D Anconia attempts
to make him understand this fault, he asks Why don t you hold to the purpose of your

The Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Since I was a kid I have been fascinated by the imaginary world where there are magic, mythical
creatures and the freedom of having power to do what you want. My preference was fading until the
movie Beautiful Creatures, a film adaptation for the first novel in the series The Caster Chronicles by
Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. When it hit the theater, I watched it and decided to read the next
novel in the series called Beautiful Darkness .
Published by Little, Brown on October 12, 2010, Beautiful Darkness is a 528 page young adult fantasy
and romance novel. The story continued with the recovering of two main characters, Ethan Wate, a
mortal and Lena Duchannes, a caster. Despite their different species, they fell in love the first time
they saw each other at Jackson High School, and confronted many challenges from Lena s malicious
mom, Sarafine Duchannes, and a family curse. Personally, I am a very selective reader, but it was such
a riveting, gripping novel that it only took 5 days to complete. The combination of the roller coaster
love story, the fighting scene between dark and light, and the adventurous way they conquer love has
ranked the novel #3 on New York Times bestsellers.
The novel is told in first person by Ethan Wate. Ethan is a typical 16 year old boy growing up in

English epic essay. I believe Beowulf fits the majority of the characteristics compared to Dante and
Gilgamesh in a heroic epic. Dante shows quite a few characteristics but he went through his journey
for himself because he needed to reflect on his past shames to look forward to a better future.
Gilgamesh also went on his journey for himself to find immortality because he feared death and what
his status/evil doings will bring him in the afterlife. Beowulf went on his journey to save others and
build his name which is more than what the others did. Going over each of the characteristics a hero in
an epic needs beowulf has the most. Most epics have a noble or wealthy main character which fits
gilgamesh and beowulf but not dante. Dante was a political man which may give him respect but does
not make him noble or wealthy. Gilgamesh was a king giving him wealth and noble standing and
beowulf was the nephew of a king made to be a warrior also giving him noble standing. While
beowulf shares this trait with gilgamesh, beowulf being a warrior knows trouble and strife while
gilgamesh sat on his thrown showing off his god strength occasionally, not knowing hardships in life.

Gilgamesh has great strength because he is two thirds god so it s a given that he has great strength and
showed it many times while chasing immortality but is weak on the courage front because he feared
death so much. Beowulf also has great strength strength and it was shown to everyone since he was
young which is why they made him a warrior. Beowulf also showed great courage when he went out
of his way to defeat Grendel in danesland even though he could not use swords and only strength.
Dante did not have great strength because he was a normal man but showed great courage when going

The journey to Assam was descripted in the most...
The journey to Assam was descripted in the most picturesque manner. The beautiful details of
landscape, the rustic beauty of plantation, the greenery and fresh air were breath taking. It was like
watching a dream land.
The morning mist has risen over the valley and evaporated with the dazzling burst of sunlight. The air
was still under the clear even sky. The welter of leafage was tensed beneath the world s hollow cup.
There was a concentrated lull in the slow heart of the day, as if India missed a heartbeat of the day, in
the march of time. (2)
Though Gangu s journey was started on this beautiful note, but we soon find out the ugly truth
concealed behind the mask of this beautiful portrait. Soon enough he realizes how badly he was ...

In the rat race to earn more profit the poor workers were doubly exploited. First by the British who
paid them minimal wage, made them work in unhygienic and often life threatening conditions. For
example when the plague of cholera and malaria was spread among the slum of these workers, then
also they were made to attend the job. Even to apply for a leave they must visit the locally appointed
doctor thrice and even then, if they do not get any better, then only their plea for leave shall be put
under consideration. The second exploitation they had to face was by their own countrymen. People
like the money lender who charge so much interest over even a small sum of money that with due
course of time it become impossible for the victim to pay back. Middlemen or agents like Buta also
falls under the very same category. Speaking of the truth, they are worse than the money lenders. They
target the weakest section of the society. They approach those who are financially broke with no hope
or resource to survive. To those wretches they lend their divine helping hand, like the blessings of
almighty himself and when the close their eyes and trust these agents, their fates are sealed in eternal
darkness. These agents never step back from weaving tall tales of the plantation site, or telling false
stories of prosperity. The innocent often felt for such traps and are doomed to work for ever in the

Superstition in Huck Finn Essay
Superstitious Times
Some say that superstition is an impractical way of looking at life but the characters in Mark Twain s,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn beg to differ. Examples of superstition are abundant throughout
the novel. Allowing characters in a novel to have superstitions makes their lives more realistic and the
reading more enjoyable. Huck and Jim s superstitions cause them grief, help them get through, and
sometimes get them into trouble in their lengthy runaway journey. Although both of these characters
tend to be quite rational, they quickly become irrational when anything remotely superstitious happens
to them. Superstition plays a dual role: it shows that Huck and Jim are child like in spite of their

He listened closely me yow! me yow! (6), this was, sure enough Tom s call to him. Huck jumps down
to meet his friend. This superstition gives the reader a first insight to Huck. The superstition is
somewhat childish and belief in the reality of witches shows that Huck has a long way to go before
maturation.
In the fourth chapter Huck sees Pap s footprints in the snow. So Huck goes to Jim to ask him why Pap
is there. Jim gets a hair ball that is the size of a fist that he took from an ox s stomach. Jim asks the
hair ball; Why is Pap here? But the hair ball won t answer. Jim says it needs money, so Huck gives Jim
a counterfeit quarter. The counterfeit quarter allows the reader to ponder the thought that Jim and
Huck are superstitious, yet they still cheat the superstition like it doesn t exist. Almost as if being
superstitious is such a normal attribute that Huck and Jim don t know they re superstitious. Jim puts
the quarter under the hair ball. The hair ball talks to Jim and Jim repeats it back to Huck. quot;Yo ole
father doan know yit what he s a gwyne to do quot; (19). Jim tells Huck that he s going to have many
troubles in his life, but also considerable joy. Also, that he s going to get sick, but always recover
healthy and that he s going to marry first a poor woman, then a rich one. If a person knows, or think
they know how their life is going to turn out life can go two ways: they could come to a

Analysis Of Killing Patton By Bill O Reilly
Our history is what has shaped the world into what it is today for better or worse. There have been
many turning points in our history that have dramatically impacted the world we live in. World War Ⅱ
was a pinnacle point in recent history that brought about genocide, modern warfare and the nuclear
age. This was a tragic war that introduced some of the deadliest weapons the world has ever seen, as
well as manufacturing mass murder. But World War Ⅱ also brought about many changes in the world,
specifically in America. Women played important roles in the workforce for the first time and finally
had a sense of independence. America was able to unite as a country and manufacture goods on a scale
that will probably never be seen again. Her full ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shortly after the war, the infamous general was involved in a car accident that paralyzed him from the
waist down. A few days later, a man who saw so much death on the battlefields of Europe and Africa
died in the most pedestrian way. In this book, rumors that the Russians along with the head of the U.S.
government s OSS unit conspired to kill Patton to put an end to his outspoken disapproval of Stalin
and the Russians.
The time period this novel takes place in is towards the end of World War Ⅱ around 1944 and the
months after the war is over. It begins around the time the Allied troops have liberated France are
pushing eastward towards the Fatherland. Hitler and the Nazi s are on their heels and are planning on
launching a desperate last attack that will be known as the Battle of the Bulge. The Allied troops have
come to a halt to regroup and Hitler is using this as the prime time to launch a secret attack of more
than two hundred and fifty thousand soldiers on the Allies. Germany eventually ends up losing the
battle and eventually the war. From there, the book talks about General Patton s post war actions and
his sudden death and the conspiracies behind it.
Geographically, the book moves from place to place. It talks about past events in Africa and present
events in Europe. Much of the story takes place at Fort Driant where Patton is trying to take control of
the fort from

Marketing Analysis Of Ameritrade, An Investment Consultant
Ameritrade, an investment consultant, has an advertisement out, in a recent issue of Wired, which is
comprised of a largely romantic silhouette. Featured at the top of the page is a scene straight from
junior prom: a young man pinning a corsage on his date. Except it is not a corsage. Rather, a
boutonniere with green undertones and made of hands sits centered in the image. It s a bit out of place
for a female to be receiving a male prom accessory and even stranger that this accessory would be
made of human hands. This uncomfortable feeling is strengthened through a disconnection between a
young, romantic scene and the purpose of the advertisement, retirement. Ameritrade seeks to break
traditional marketing techniques by presenting a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ameritrade is subtly hinting at a financial growth through their services alongside a progression
through life. The hard work and dedication to the professional life is supposed to lead to a life s
savings that will allow one to freely enjoy newfound free time and passions in retirement. This,
inevitable, is an expression of the American Dream wealth earned by the sweat and hard work of the
individual. Ameritrade implies it hand holding will allow a consumer to more easily achieve this ideal.
Even more fascinating, however, is that Ameritrade seems to reject that the American Dream has
come, nor is it right around the corner. Workers are still encouraged to continue in their job and
deposit money in these new rollover IRAs . Furthermore, to receive your free $600, Ameritrade
requires that you are funding your account for at least a twelve month duration . They are even quick
to note at the bottom that risk is involved and success is not guaranteed . Therefore, while sales may
depend on whether the consumer buys into the American Dream, it becomes clear that Ameritrade
rejects that such a notion can exist. In contrast, Ameritrade undercuts the advertisement s allure and
connection to customer s by isolating its audience through the perpetuation of a commonly held

Tom Brady s Argument Against The Deflategate Scandal
It appears that after roughly 18 months of madness, which included false reports, outside
investigations, Bill Belichick versus Bill Nye The Science Guy and a lot headaches, the Deflategate
scandal has finally come to an end.
Last Wednesday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York declined to reconsider its April
decision not to overturn four time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady s four game suspension, handed
down by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in May 2015. Consequently, the New England Patriots
quarterback recently ended his fight against the punishment, deciding to forego his final option of
appealing to the Supreme Court.

The third year quarterback will also have Danny Amendola, and newcomers Martellus Bennett and
Chris Hogan Garoppolo won t have a shortage of options to throw to.
On defense, the Patriots have one of the best linebacking corps in the league. Headlined by run stuffer
Dont a Hightower and swiss army knife Jamie Collins, New England s group of linebackers is elite.
Adding Terrance Knighton to former first round pick Malcom Brown makes a scary interior defensive
line. There s a ton of talent on the pass rushing front, as well as in the defensive backfield, so as a
whole, New England s defense should rank in the top 10 next season.
Draft picks and free agent signings by the other teams in the AFC East always get people excited. This
is the year the Pats fall off, they say. But 13 out of the last 15 seasons, the Patriots have been in the
postseason, with little reason to believe that circumstance should change this year. With four weeks off
to start the season, and should the Patriots reach the playoffs for the 14th time in 16 seasons, Brady
could be the healthiest he has been in a while heading into the postseason. That is a scary thought for

Imac Essay
The iMac was made by Apple, released on June 5, 2017. The iMac is ideal for me because it fits all
my requirements for general use. The cost of this computer starts at $1399.00, but when adding
additional features the price can go to $3,079.
The price I would buy it at is $1,729, paying this amount I get additional features that includes the
3.0GHz quad core 7th generation Intel Core i5 processor, which is useful for me as I need it for daily
use and require the processor to run fast, the 8GB 2400MHz memory that is enough since I would use
it for basic document work, photo editing multi tab browsing and media streaming and even though
this sounded like a lot these tasks can be completed with 4 GB so for me 8GB is more than enough.

From these options I would have the 1TB SSD because an SSD does everything a hard drive does
functionally, but data is instead stored on interconnected flash memory chips that retain the data even
when there s no power present so nothing is moving. Opposite to that is a hard drive which basically is
a metal platter with a magnetic coating that stores your data, this last only for a certain time until it
wears off, and the disk also spins making noise. For speed, an SSD equipped PC will boot in just
seconds and a hard drive requires time to speed up to operating specs, and will continue to be slower
than an SSD during normal use. Due to this high speed storage, loading large files and launching
softwares will be much faster than the previous macs.
For the appearance for the iMac pro, the height of it is 17.7 inches, the width is 20.8 inches, the stand
depth is 6.9 inches and the weight of it is 5.66 kg. Moreover, it has an amazing 500 nits of brightness
along with a billion colours. This feature is one of my favourites because I love taking photos and with
the iMac the photos will look much brighter, colourful and they will have amazing quality.
The casing of this computer is made out of aluminum. For ventilation there is a long vent on the
bottom portion of the rear casing included. There are also slots facilities that perform airflows which

Relations Between Iran And The Middle East
Oil. This one word can explain the relationship between the western world especially the United
States and the Middle East. It can be used to trace the reasoning behind many interactions between
these two spheres of the world. It is also the basis of one of the most controversial foreign policy
operations of the United States, Operation Ajax. Although Operation Ajax happened sixty years ago,
its consequences had immediate and lasting effects on both Iran and American Iranian relations. I will
argue that the coup led to the 1979 Islamic revolution and consequently put into motion the strained
relations between Iran and the United States; it also had significant effects on both the United States
and Iran s political history. I will cement my argument by giving a detailed account of Operation Ajax
and the players involved in it as well as giving descriptive examples of why it happened as well as
how it continues to have a lasting effect.
The United States has no credibility as a bearer of democracy to Iran because of its role in crushing
democracy there half a century ago (Kinzer xvii). This was said by Akbar Ganji an Iranian dissident
who precisely struck a significant point of American Iranian relations. That one sentence explains
exactly what happened during Operation Ajax Iran s first democracy was destroyed in an attempt to
protect self interested parties of the western world. Operation Ajax was a coup organized and carried
out by the United States Central Intelligence

Pell Grant Reforms
Abstract: This paper will discuss the Federal Pell Grant and the legislation behind it as well as the
Higher Education Act of 1965 and it s reforms since then. This appears purpose is to show the faults
within these programs and to then show possible ways people have tried to reform it. The final part of
this paper will be my opinion on how the legislation can be fixed along with using data and
information from recent research done on the subject. It is the hopes that these recommendations will
then be used to further stabilize this piece of legislation in the future. Former United States Secretary
of Education William Bennett once said, The higher amount you put into higher education, at the
federal level particularly, the more the price ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The beginning of the Pell Grant started in 1965 when congress passed the Higher Education Act of
1965. This was a policy implement created by Lyndon Johnson to not only help the education crisis in
America but also to help the majority of poor minority students in America s education system. The
act allowed for not only loan interest loans but also grants to many eligible young adults. Universities
and other institutions benefited through this the most. In 1972, an addition was added to the act called
Title IX Higher Education Amendments these were to settle issues and the need for distribution of aid
in the current grant. Throughout the 70s multiple provisions and additions were added to these group
of bills to not only increase funding but also how they should be accessed. These came though a
process called reauthorization, which allowed congress to examine each and every program and the
ability to change it the way they see fit. In 1994, Congress then passed another addition called the
Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act or VCCLEA, this was a provision that revoked Pell
Grant funding to any individual who is incarcerated in any federal or state penal institution. This
meant that any person incarcerated for a misdemeanor or felony for any reason, be it murder, drug
possession, or tax evasion, to be ineligible for even the lowest amount of funding. This however in
modern times have been a discussing for debate with the act Restoring Education and Learning Act,
also called REAL Act to lift this ban on some of the prisoners, based on their crime and their current
status in prison. This would be called the Second Chance Pell

During the period of 600 1450, the eastern hemisphere was connected through many trading routes.
Although both the IOT and SR resulted in immense wealth being created, the IOT promoted islam
through its ocean voyages and the SR supported Christianity through the overland routes, and it had
more drastic effects on society. The SR and IOT were profiting in immense wealth due to being
exclusive traders. When the Crusaders or the Christian knights from Western Europe came to the ME,
in order to claim back their holy city Jerusalem, they were awed in wonder as they saw how spices
came and went, and the transfusion of many enlightening ideas took place. They witnessed Arabic

Saffron proved to be an equally important trade because of the high value that was placed on it. Not
only did it add intense and wonderful flavor to food, but during a time where there were no
refrigerators, saffron helped preserve food. Slaves, another major source of trade, had the strongest
influence since they were the most valuable goods and they were the most traded/bought goods.
Slavery not only played a key factor then, but would do so in centuries to follow as well. The SR
promoted the influence of Christianity, mostly because its final destination was Rome. After the
Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity, a large portion of Rome did so as well,
resulting in Rome becoming a Catholic state. After many goods arrived in Rome, from places as far as
China, cultural diffusion occurred as a result. Also, the Crusaders influenced the road as they ventured
on recapturing Jursalem. In the SR, the major goods that were traded were silk and porcelain from
China, and horses from Persia. Silk, of all the goods listed, was the most important, not only because
of its value, but also its quality, which resulted in the SR being called the SR . However, extremely
unlike like the IOT, the SR had a disastrous effect due to Mongols passing off a disease called Black
Death . It had a

Contribution To Justice In The Saint Ignatius College...
India, a nation ruled by the British since the mid 1800 s. The British used the Indians as British
soldiers until the Indians became interested in nationalism. This nationalism led to the desire for self
government. The British promised the Indians self government, but instead broke their promise and
passed the Rowlatt Acts which gave the government the power to imprison protesters. In 1919, Hindus
and Muslims protested the Rowlatt Acts at Amritsar, but were unaware they were not allowed to have
public meetings. As a result, the British took the lives of about 400 Indians and wounded about 1200
people at the Amritsar Massacre. The Amritsar Massacre ushered millions of Indians into wanting
freedom from Britain s ruthlessness. Soon, India would be freed by the guidance and help of one man,
Mahatma Gandhi who was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, Kathiawar, India. Although Gandhi
faced imprisonment countless times, he demonstrated the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory Grad at
Grad Profile 2020 by leading his people in peaceful rebellions, turning to religion for guidance, and
his commitment to working towards social justice for Indians from Britain. The description of
committed to justice in the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory Grad at Grad Profile 2020 matches

  • 2. School Lunch Essay Skipping Dessert When I was younger, I vividly remember the vast amount of delicious food that was offered every day in my school lunchroom. The food that I use to describe as good food, I am beginning to undoubtedly recognise for the unhealthy junk that it actually is. There are countless others who also notice how horrible these foods are to feed children in school cafeterias. Today, those same cafeterias are tremendously different from the ones I remember from when I was little, and they are always continuously changing. The amount of options we are offered have not lessened, they have simply changed. Instead of having the option to purchase nachos, we now are given the option of baked fries. Also, instead of having a dessert of an innutritious brownie, we now are given a large variety of sweet fruits to choose from instead. While some students distinguish these changes as a catastrophe, I can understand the importance of having students skip dessert during a school lunch. Allowing the NSLP to regulate what is served in school lunches would help parents trust that their children would be getting healthier foods at school, help to combat the epidemic of obesity and malnutrition in the United States, and assist in educating children on healthy diet choices. In the article School Lunches , the author discusses whether or not the government s National School Lunch Program (NSLP) should be allowed to regulate what is served in school lunches. Pleasing Films for Historians and Mainstream Audiences The transition from historical information to cinema is often a dangerous and controversial road, few films are able to consistently please both historians and mainstream audiences. The topic of Sino Japanese relations and China s anti Japanese war is frequently explored in the medium of film. Films such as City of Life and Death, Norman Bethune: The Making of a Hero, Devils on the Doorstep, The Last Emperor, Nanking, Flowers of War and The Inn of the Sixth Happiness all seek to investigate this turbulent period in Chinese history and to reflect upon the many different perspectives involved. Although the medium of film can never accurately portray history or ever hope to achieve the detailed work of a scholarly source, it can provide an emotional understanding of some of the most chaotic periods of human history. The Second World War involved more than 100 million people from thirty different countries resulting in the deadliest conflict in human history. How can anyone make sense of that on paper other than listing the number of casualties? Film, deeply aware of its limitations has become a different form of understanding the past, capable of taking a particular event such as war and exploring universal themes. As technology in video games improves so does our ability to display larger more detailed graphics and images, leading to beautiful hand drawn and animated games such as Dark Stalkers (Capcom 1994) and Lori and the blind forest (Moon Studios 2015). Along with this improvement in technology and graphics, the search for more immersive experiences has also grown whether it be the NES Power Glove (1989), Battle Tech centres (1990) or the HTC VIVE (2016) the game industry wants to take the immersion that one step further. But how important is realistic visual representation to the flow of a game? Csikszentmihalyi believed that there are eight elements of flow within video games; a task that can be completed, the ability to concentrate, clear goals, immediate feedback, a sense of control, player skill matching challenge, self concern disappears, sense of time being altered. The aesthetics within video games don t seem to effect any of the elements Csikszentmihalyi has given us and yet we strive for bigger and better graphical experiences to increase the realism of our gameplay. What Are The Arguments Against Pro Life Defense Gillian Torchia Mr. Lowry English9h 6 7 February 2016 Defense for the Defenseless In 2008 there were 1.21 million abortions performed in the United States. That is three thousand three hundred and twenty two abortions performed each day (Guttmacher Institute). The topic of abortion has been a heavily talked about topic for the past few years. There are two sides of the issue, pro life, which is against abortion and pro choice, which is for abortion. Abortion should not be legal because it is a scientific procedure, it is currently supported by law, and deprives fetuses of a future like ours. One of the main arguments against the pro life movement is that the fetuses that are being removed are not humans and therefore do not have basic rights. When human sperm penetrates a human ovum, a zygote is formed. A zygote is undeniably human because it composed of human DNA that is unique from both the mother s and the father s individual DNA. From this, it can be concluded that abortion operations affect more than just the mother and her rights, it now includes the rights of the fetus. Also, the human zygote fulfills the scientific definition of an organism. The human embryo is a complex structure of independent elements designed to carry on the activities of life by separately functioning but mutually dependent organs. The human zygote also fulfills the four main categories of biological life: growth, reproduction, reaction to stimuli, and metabolism. Reaction to stimuli ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How does this issue relate to the novel s theme? When Rearden declares: The public good be damned, I will have no part of it! he refuses the looters insistence of sacrificing his production and happiness for the sake of others. He is attacking Collectivist philosophy by accepting reality; one must produce for their own self interest in order to pursue their own happiness. The Collectivist s persistently try to deny reality and thereby break Aristotle s law of existence: A is A (1038) . If one believes A is not A, logically they contend a person s sole motive to live is not for himself, rather, to live for others. This premise of self sacrifice prioritize faith, charity, and force above all else. His declaration condemns the entirety of this value system and coincides with the philosophy of Atlas Shrugged; Collectivism is evil because of it ability to drain the mind of its volitional consciousness (1012) and the assumption of rights based on need, as opposed to ability. Although he is preaching Objectivism, Rearden lives according to this philosophy only partially. An Objectivist believes a person s highest moral purpose is to pursue happiness through their values. Dante shows quite a few characteristics but he went through his journey for himself because he needed to reflect on his past shames to look forward to a better future. Even to apply for a leave they must visit the locally appointed doctor thrice and even then, if they do not get any better, then only their plea for leave shall be put under consideration. The second exploitation they had to face was by their own countrymen. People like the money lender who charge so much interest over even a small sum of money that with due course of time it become impossible for the victim to pay back. Middlemen or agents like Buta also falls under the very same category. Speaking of the truth, they are worse than the money lenders. They target the weakest section of the society. They approach those who are financially broke with no hope or resource to survive. To those wretches they lend their divine helping hand, like the blessings of almighty himself and when the close their eyes and trust these agents, their fates are sealed in eternal darkness. These agents never step back from weaving tall tales of the plantation site, or telling false stories of prosperity. The innocent often felt for such traps and are doomed to work for ever in the hellish ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 25. Superstition in Huck Finn Essay Superstitious Times Some say that superstition is an impractical way of looking at life but the characters in Mark Twain s, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn beg to differ. Examples of superstition are abundant throughout the novel. Allowing characters in a novel to have superstitions makes their lives more realistic and the reading more enjoyable. Huck and Jim s superstitions cause them grief, help them get through, and sometimes get them into trouble in their lengthy runaway journey. Although both of these characters tend to be quite rational, they quickly become irrational when anything remotely superstitious happens to them. The superstition is somewhat childish and belief in the reality of witches shows that Huck has a long way to go before maturation. In the fourth chapter Huck sees Pap s footprints in the snow. So Huck goes to Jim to ask him why Pap is there. Jim gets a hair ball that is the size of a fist that he took from an ox s stomach. Jim asks the hair ball; Why is Pap here? But the hair ball won t answer. Jim says it needs money, so Huck gives Jim a counterfeit quarter. The counterfeit quarter allows the reader to ponder the thought that Jim and Huck are superstitious, yet they still cheat the superstition like it doesn t exist. Almost as if being superstitious is such a normal attribute that Huck and Jim don t know they re superstitious. Jim puts the quarter under the hair ball. The hair ball talks to Jim and Jim repeats it back to Huck. quot;Yo ole father doan know yit what he s a gwyne to do quot; (19). • 26. Analysis Of Killing Patton By Bill O Reilly Our history is what has shaped the world into what it is today for better or worse. There have been many turning points in our history that have dramatically impacted the world we live in. World War Ⅱ was a pinnacle point in recent history that brought about genocide, modern warfare and the nuclear age. This was a tragic war that introduced some of the deadliest weapons the world has ever seen, as well as manufacturing mass murder. But World War Ⅱ also brought about many changes in the world, specifically in America. Women played important roles in the workforce for the first time and finally had a sense of independence. America was able to unite as a country and manufacture goods on a scale that will probably never be seen again. Her full ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marketing Analysis Of Ameritrade, An Investment Consultant Ameritrade, an investment consultant, has an advertisement out, in a recent issue of Wired, which is comprised of a largely romantic silhouette. Featured at the top of the page is a scene straight from junior prom: a young man pinning a corsage on his date. Except it is not a corsage. Rather, a boutonniere with green undertones and made of hands sits centered in the image. It s a bit out of place for a female to be receiving a male prom accessory and even stranger that this accessory would be made of human hands. Tom Brady s Argument Against The Deflategate Scandal It appears that after roughly 18 months of madness, which included false reports, outside investigations, Bill Belichick versus Bill Nye The Science Guy and a lot headaches, the Deflategate scandal has finally come to an end. Last Wednesday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York declined to reconsider its April decision not to overturn four time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady s four game suspension, handed down by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in May 2015. Opposite to that is a hard drive which basically is a metal platter with a magnetic coating that stores your data, this last only for a certain time until it wears off, and the disk also spins making noise. For speed, an SSD equipped PC will boot in just seconds and a hard drive requires time to speed up to operating specs, and will continue to be slower than an SSD during normal use. Due to this high speed storage, loading large files and launching softwares will be much faster than the previous macs. For the appearance for the iMac pro, the height of it is 17.7 inches, the width is 20.8 inches, the stand depth is 6.9 inches and the weight of it is 5.66 kg. • 30. Relations Between Iran And The Middle East Oil. This one word can explain the relationship between the western world especially the United States and the Middle East. It can be used to trace the reasoning behind many interactions between these two spheres of the world. It is also the basis of one of the most controversial foreign policy operations of the United States, Operation Ajax. Although Operation Ajax happened sixty years ago, its consequences had immediate and lasting effects on both Iran and American Iranian relations. I will argue that the coup led to the 1979 Islamic revolution and consequently put into motion the strained relations between Iran and the United States; it also had significant effects on both the United States and Iran s political history. I will cement my argument by giving a detailed account of Operation Ajax and the players involved in it as well as giving descriptive examples of why it happened as well as how it continues to have a lasting effect. The United States has no credibility as a bearer of democracy to Iran because of its role in crushing democracy there half a century ago (Kinzer xvii). This was said by Akbar Ganji an Iranian dissident who precisely struck a significant point of American Iranian relations. That one sentence explains exactly what happened during Operation Ajax Iran s first democracy was destroyed in an attempt to protect self interested parties of the western world. The final part of this paper will be my opinion on how the legislation can be fixed along with using data and information from recent research done on the subject. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The beginning of the Pell Grant started in 1965 when congress passed the Higher Education Act of 1965. This was a policy implement created by Lyndon Johnson to not only help the education crisis in America but also to help the majority of poor minority students in America s education system. The act allowed for not only loan interest loans but also grants to many eligible young adults. Universities and other institutions benefited through this the most. In 1972, an addition was added to the act called Title IX Higher Education Amendments these were to settle issues and the need for distribution of aid in the current grant. Throughout the 70s multiple provisions and additions were added to these group of bills to not only increase funding but also how they should be accessed. These came though a process called reauthorization, which allowed congress to examine each and every program and the ability to change it the way they see fit. In 1994, Congress then passed another addition called the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act or VCCLEA, this was a provision that revoked Pell Grant funding to any individual who is incarcerated in any federal or state penal institution. This meant that any person incarcerated for a misdemeanor or felony for any reason, be it murder, drug possession, or tax evasion, to be ineligible for even the lowest amount of funding. Although both the IOT and SR resulted in immense wealth being created, the IOT promoted islam through its ocean voyages and the SR supported Christianity through the overland routes, and it had more drastic effects on society. The SR and IOT were profiting in immense wealth due to being exclusive traders. Saffron proved to be an equally important trade because of the high value that was placed on it. Not only did it add intense and wonderful flavor to food, but during a time where there were no refrigerators, saffron helped preserve food. Slavery not only played a key factor then, but would do so in centuries to follow as well. The SR promoted the influence of Christianity, mostly because its final destination was Rome. After the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity, a large portion of Rome did so as well, resulting in Rome becoming a Catholic state. After many goods arrived in Rome, from places as far as China, cultural diffusion occurred as a result. Also, the Crusaders influenced the road as they ventured on recapturing Jursalem. • 34. Contribution To Justice In The Saint Ignatius College... India, a nation ruled by the British since the mid 1800 s. The British used the Indians as British soldiers until the Indians became interested in nationalism. This nationalism led to the desire for self government. The British promised the Indians self government, but instead broke their promise and passed the Rowlatt Acts which gave the government the power to imprison protesters. In 1919, Hindus and Muslims protested the Rowlatt Acts at Amritsar, but were unaware they were not allowed to have public meetings. As a result, the British took the lives of about 400 Indians and wounded about 1200 people at the Amritsar Massacre. The Amritsar Massacre ushered millions of Indians into wanting freedom from Britain s ruthlessness. Soon, India would be freed by the guidance and help of one man, Mahatma Gandhi who was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, Kathiawar, India. Although Gandhi faced imprisonment countless times, he demonstrated the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory Grad at Grad Profile 2020 by leading his people in peaceful rebellions, turning to religion for guidance, and his commitment to working towards social justice for Indians from Britain.
