someone else in order to get back at them or to serve justice. If they think they are justified, that
person would be more willing to commit an evil act. The second premise, in my opinion, is true. I do
not think that a person, without outside influence, would simply do something which they do not want
to. If it is not something a person wants to do, chances are it won t be done. Therefore, I think this
premise is true. When evaluating the entire argument as a whole, I determined it to be valid. It is
logical to move from premise one to premise two and develop the provided conclusion. Even though I

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) replaced AFDC, ending some Federal responsibility
to welfare assistance. States operate their own programs; determine eligibility services to be provided
to needy families, within Federal guidelines. The Federal government cannot regulate the conduct of
states except to a few requirements, and states have a wide latitude in administering the program to
provide assistance to needy families so that children can be cared for in their own homes; to reduce

who reside in married couple families (Nathan Gais, 1999). This measure is based on the theory that
children in single parent homes are at greater risk than those in two parent families and the best
solution is marriage. In short, the federal government is rewarding states for encouraging marriage, a
very personal decision. How do states measure the results of having more couples getting married?
Over the past five years, the federal government has also found it difficult to measure improvement in

to keep readers captivated and on the edge of their seat with each succeeding chapter within this
condemning story. By purposely feeding the readers bits and pieces along the story line allowed the
reader to capture the raw exposed chronicle of we can identify as Chris McCandless. The second
Krakauer revealed Chris death this was no longer a story of survival but of persistence and enduring

Life is not lived in isolation. Actions cause reactions and influence the events of the future. These
repercussions manifest themselves in many degrees, from injury to glory to the downfall of a

These acknowledgements develop the complex relationship between desiring a safe future for oneself
but also the desire to provide a safe future for others. Beowulf begins the passage indifferent to death,
focused on achieving his task of killing Grendel s Mother (1442). This indifference, attributed to the
story s most well loved character, implies that warriors should focus on the tasks ahead of them rather
than the distant future. However, when considering the fight s impact on the future, Beowulf equally
wishes to protect himself and those around him. He specifically wears his helmet to guard his head
during the fight, protecting and emphasizing the most important aspect of his body (1448). Beowulf
for the first time acknowledges that he has become more than a warrior. He symbolizes his motivation
to protect his thoughts and essence and takes action to prepare for the tumultuous future dependent on
not just his strength, but his being.Contrasting Beowulf s regard for the future is Unferth s lack of
forethought when he was not man enough to risk .. his life (1467 1468). Because Unferth places more
value in his own life than his legacy, he is seen as lesser than Beowulf. This explains Unferth earlier in
the story, as his ignorance again causes him to resemble an enemy when he allows himself to become
jealous and enraged at Beowulf. In addition to implying that risking one s life is positive, this
acknowledgement of risk foreshadows future risks in the story and provides reason for each one: to
form a better future. The relationship between protection of self and legacy throughout the novel is
further complicated when Beowulf states that he shall gain glory or die fighting Grendel s Mother

Food Bank Use in Canada
According to Food Banks Canada, food bank usage has soared to 28% in the past three years, with
more than 850,000 Canadians making use of a food bank in a typical year (Ontario
Healthy Communities Coalition, March 2012). One of the biggest contributors to why individuals
depend on food banks is their social economic status of lower class and poverty. Although this is a big
contributor, there are many more major social determinants that contribute to food bank usage outside
of social economic status designation. I believe the other three most important determinants that
contribute to usage of food banks are education, employment/working conditions and physical/social
environment.

Even though socio economic status is a huge determinant of food bank usage, I believe that education,
employment/working conditions and physical/social environment are also contributing determinants
for this case. Food banks are initially started to help those in need, but
I believe that federal and provincial governments should furthermore improve economic growth to
increase the likely hood of individuals finding and sustaining a full time job. With this change,
increased employment would help reduce the use of food banks and improve the quality of life of
individuals.

The Saltwater Crocodile The saltwater crocodile is one of the largest non mammalian creatures. It also
lives to about 70 years and weighs about 1200 pounds for a male, and 200 pounds for a female. The
length of a male varies between 14 17 ft. While the females length is between 7.5 11 ft. All of these
numbers are of averages of adult saltwater crocodiles. Now I will compare four systems of a crocodile
to a human. In the circulatory system, the crocodile has a four chambered heart, as well as a double
looped circulatory system. They breathe using their lungs in and under water. The saltwater crocodile

There are several Public Health Professional Associations/Organizations that can be accessed whether
a student or MPH (Masters in Public Health) graduate. The number one organization is APHA
(American Public Health Association) who has services like: membership, newsletters, a professional
journal, meetings, and webinars (American Public Health Association, 2015). I cannot afford to join
now, but will upon graduation, utilizing as much as possible on the site. They also have internships
and fellowships, but they all take place in Washington D.C. Nevertheless, students and graduates can
take advantage of the job search and sign up for job alerts. I will also follow them on social media and
LinkedIn.
The next association that I would like to be a member of is: SOPHE (Society for Public Health
Education). Students as well as graduates can join and they have multiple chapters around the United
States and participate on social media. I plan on attending meetings that are local, as well as digital
webinars, summits, and signing up for their newsletter and other professional publications (Society for
Public Health Education, 2015). They, too, have a career center that I will access on a regular basis
