Mr. Smith drops a water balloon from the 7th floor at the same time as Mr. Miles drops one from the 12th floor. It is calculated that Mr. Smith's balloon will hit the ground 3 seconds later, 1 second after Mr. Miles' balloon which hits at 2 seconds. The volume and dimensions of the White House are given. Setting up an equation to relate the volume, length, width and height, the length is calculated to be 85 feet and the width 168 feet. Homework is to redo the previous night's assignments.
