1) FEATURES
Things you'll see in TINYVOX

To record anything, just hit the
big red RECORD button on the
main taping screen.
Press PAUSE to pause, and
STOP for options.

THE MAIN

2. BASICS
This app lets you tape, email & broadcast ideas easily,
creating "tapes", which are audio messages.

TWITTER VOICEMAIL
Enter their @username in the TAPE LABEL and tweet it.

All audio posted to the
TINYVOX server is deleted
after 7 days to save disk
space and protect privacy

All MP3s sent from
TINYVOX as email
attachments are 100%
private and permanent.

When you send an email of a tape to someone, you'll get a copy of
the tape too as a Return Receipt.

All emails sent from TINYVOX feature a date and time stamp and a
return address so your recipients can reply to you directly.

To get a URL fast, tweet it from the Main Screen and hit
Cancel when you see the Twitter prompt. Or hit Share without
picking an icon from the Play/Share screen.

You can tape up to 20 minutes and easily share - longer tape,
longer upload time. You knew that.
• To skip the Stop Menu, touch the
SHARE button to go
directly to Play/Share.

• On the Play/Share screen, you aren't done until you hit the
big blue Share! button at the bottom. This starts the upload
dialog box before returning the URL.

• Any tape on our server is only semi-private.
Your recipients can share them and Google
sees them.
For total privacy, use MP3 attachment.
You can tape up to 20 minutes with no
problem uploading. Longer tapes may choke
when being uploaded, so Make a New Tape
from the Stop Menu after every ten minutes
for best results.
TINYVOX works by sending your audio up to
our server, and then posting it out to social
networks or email. If public, you get a URL –
anyone who clicks on it anywhere can hear.
Use good judgement when sharing.

TYPE THE URL ANYWHERE TO
MAKE THE WEB TALK.
The landing page audio autoplays: the instant anyone clicks
your TINYVOX URL, they'll hear you instantly!

From the Landing Page you can embed the tape in Basecamp
or Wordpress, share the tape further, and add comments.

Try the Facebook Like and Send buttons
on the Landing page! Amazing.

For faster uploads, try switching to
standard quality audio in the Settings

The iPhone 4S microphone is amazing and features
miraculous compression even at loud events.

3) CATCH IDEAS!
TINYVOX is the fastest
app for catching ideas.

TINYVOX puts audio first
for taking notes, because
it's convenient to just hit
RECORD and type along
with the speaker.

You can review audio
while doing other things,
unlike video or
deciphering scribbled
notes you took during
class or the meeting.

Walk around your
apartment thinking out
loud. You'll be amazed with
what you'll think up -
unleash your second brain.

If you're at a meeting or
class or concert, why hold
up your phone to make a
video when all you need is
the audio?

Taping is more
accurate than typing
or scribbling. Why

4) TIPS AND TRICKS

Just take an audio snapshot of something.
Or talk out your idea.
If you want to do something great, you need to brainstorm
past your original seed idea.
Anyone can have an idea, but if you make brainstorming the
first task in any project you'll find yourself:
1) getting started faster – no more procrastination!
2) coming up with more and better tactics
3) becoming super-motivated because you're coaching
yourself in your own voice

SOME IDEAS FOR
TAPING PROJECTS
Enter anyone's twitter username in the tape label, then tweet
it. They'll get an email letting them know to hear your
message.
• Type up your tapes regularly. You'll generate original text
that you can deploy anywhere. You can even write a book.
• Ask a friend if they'd like to be interviewed about their
project or restaurant for YouTube
• Polish the typing of your tapes to a diamond finish, then win
essay contests and accolades from the New York Times
Review of Books.

Add your Evernote email address to your Contacts app,
so you can quickly send tapes to your Evernote with the
Email to Contact feature in TINYVOX. Good for later review.
Don't forget they charge for upload bandwidth though.

MULTITRACK – NOT EASY,
BUT VERY AWESOME.
Tape one track,
email it to yourself,
play it on your speakers
while taping a second track.

You’ll have to experiment
to make it work, but if you
get it to work, it rules to
have a simple studio on
your iphone

Use the Send button on the Landing Page to send the tape to
a Facebook friend as a private Message – a great way to
share moments and say “Happy Birthday!” in your own voice

Install both TinyVox and TinyVox Pro to send from two
different emails, two Tumblrs etc. and switch when one is
uploading so you don’t miss anything while uploading.

Twitter, Tumblr and Soundcloud with one upload?
• you can post as many audio updates to Tumblr as you like a
day with TinyVox?
• You can "post nowhere" (no icons lit in the Play/Share
screen), get a TINYVOX url, and type that URL anywhere in
Facebook Messages, Groups, Chat, Pages or Walls?

Just hit the STOP button and then "Delete & Start Over" if
someone you taped is squeamish.
