Humana People to People spans the globe through 29 independent national member associations, who are all members of the Federation Humana People to People. We grew out of a progressive education movement in the 1970s, rooted in the struggle against apartheid and colonialism. Today, we are committed to tackling some of the world’s major humanitarian, social and environmental challenges. The Federation Humana People to People supports its members in delivering critical on-the-ground programs across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. In 2024, working in 46 countries across five continents, members of the Federation Humana People to People have implemented more than 1,831 development projects in the areas of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Community Development, Health, and Education reaching over 15 million people in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. We are all committed to the same agenda: protecting the planet, building communities, and supporting people by connecting them with others, unleashing their potential for positive change and action. At our heart is a set of principles on how to create development and to raise funds for it. This ethos is shared by the countless partners, national and international, who have supported – and continue to support – our work over the years. Our activities are aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda. Working side by side with people in their communities and our numerous partners, we support countries as they strive to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, creating lasting positive change in the process.

From July 27 - August 2, international journalists from Devex, Deutsche Welle and some other local correspondents from national outlets joined our member ADPP Mozambique in Tete Province for a press trip that spotlighted the Tsogolo Tsicana (Go Girls, The Future is Yours) project. The visit provided a platform for the world to see how community-driven initiatives are reducing early pregnancies, keeping girls in school, and strengthening local health systems. “When families, teachers, and leaders come together, girls are staying in school and shaping their own futures.” – Devex Through Tsogolo Tsicana (Go Girls, The Future is Yours), communities are reducing early pregnancies, keeping girls in school, and strengthening health services. “When everyone gets involved, we can protect our children and create a better future for all.” – Community Leader. The press trip matters gave ADPP Mozambique an opportunity to show the world that sustainable development isn’t top-down, it is built in partnership with communities who know their challenges best. At Humana People to People, we are proud to see our members’ grassroots initiatives setting the pace for resilient, locally owned development models. This coverage spotlights local voices, demonstrating the power of grassroots action, and showing that the future of development is built with communities, not imposed on them. 📖 Read the Devex article: http://bit.ly/47c6W6s #CommunityDriven #GirlsEmpowerment #GlobalHealth #HumanaPeopleToPeople Planet Aid, Inc United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) UNFPA East and Southern Africa Humana People to People India ADPP Moçambique ADPP GUINEA-BISSAU DAPP ZIMBABWE DAPP Namibia HPP-Congo RDC Humana Spain UFF (U-landshjälp från Folk till Folk i Finland sr) Humana People to People in South Africa Humana People to People In South Africa

✨ We were pleased to participate in the #ATUPAConference happening this week in Durban, South Africa! We had the opportunity to participate in a session hosted by the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD and GIZ African Union. The new Continental TVET Strategy 2025–2034 (#CTVET) was introduced, focusing on how it can be implemented to strengthen skills systems that address today’s social and economic needs. The discussion also highlighted the voices of the strategy’s key beneficiaries: Africa’s youth. Two tangible initiatives are already bringing this gap between decision-making and youth voices: ✊ The recently published #AfricaSkillsRevolution Report is bringing forward youth voices from over 30 countries about their experiences and opinions on skills development in Africa in order to inform policies and spark new action. Check the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dHbEGzjZ 🌐 The digital platform #ASPYEE is helping people connect, share ideas and provide useful knowledge on youth employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation in skills development. Find out more: https://aspyee.org Youth active involvement is key to building strong skills ecosystems. Looking forward to continuing to find more opportunities to put youth at the centre of the TVET revolution across the continent.
