🌞 Exciting News from Aukera Energy! 🌞 We’re pleased to announce the acquisition of a 130 MWp solar portfolio in Germany, completing our cluster to a total of 200 MWp. From this newly acquired portfolio, the first 50 MWp project—along with a 100 MVA substation—will already start construction this year. Still buzzing from an incredibly vibrant and successful Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich! The Aukera Energy team had an invaluable few days connecting with the heart of the solar and storage industry.   "We met with the majority of significant players—equipment suppliers, EPCs, engineering firms, Developers, IPPs, and Utilities—all immersed in the future of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). It was a prime opportunity to reconnect with peers, strengthen collaborations, and gauge the industry's true direction." said Apostolos Kotsaris, our CTO.   Our main takeaway? While Solar PV's growth continues, BESS is unmistakably leading the conversation. Discussions, even with major PV module manufacturers, quickly turned to storage solutions for grid stability, flexibility, and accelerating decarbonization. The urgency was palpable, amplified by the recent blackout in Spain, which underscored the need for faster, innovative solutions.   The interest in Aukera's PV and BESS pipeline across Europe was truly energizing. We had impactful meetings with everyone from long-time EPC partners to leading battery suppliers, technology certifiers, and engineering firms pushing storage innovation.   A huge thank you to all the brilliant teams who connected with us. We are pleased to announce that the Craigluscar project in Fife, Scotland, has secured planning approval. This 40MWac solar farm, paired with a 9.9MWac battery system and developed by Aukera Energy and Locogen, is targeting commercial operation in 2028. Craigluscar builds on our recent momentum in the UK, with 250MW currently under construction and 200MW solar and BESS in pre-construction. Aukera Energy has secured the building permit for our 30MW Romanu wind project in Romania - a significant step as we scale up our onshore wind portfolio in the country. Aukera Energy is thrilled to announce the successful closing of a £135m senior debt facility with Deutsche Bank and Rabobank to fund the construction of five solar PV projects across the UK, totalling 220 MWp and 30 MW BESS. These projects—all winners in CfD Allocation Round 6—include Benthead in North Ayrshire, which features a 30 MW co-located battery storage system and was recently awarded a Capacity Market contract in the UK’s 2028/29 T-4 Capacity Market Auction.
