Our September #ThirdThursdayScience webinar will feature our outgoing #EMBracingtheOcean artist-in-residence Ruwanthi Gajadeera speaking about her project "SOS Save our Seas". Her project explored the devastating legacy of the X-Press Pearl disaster on Sri Lankan marine life, turning marine data into a multi-sensory exhibition which included extures, subtle scents, sound and heritage craft, and sustainable fashion.  The webinar will take place on Thursday 18 September at 13:00-14:00 CEST. On 2 April 2025, we hosted our 9th #EMBForum at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. The event focused on "Addressing coastal and water resilience on the land-sea interface", and discussed policy and governance, transboundary pollution, and coastal adaptation and livability.
