Celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights
We recently started a new tradition of celebrating International Fests to honor heritage, bring people together and share our cultural backgrounds. Our first event in November 2023 was the celebration of Diwali, also known as Deepavali, that holds deep cultural and spiritual significance. It signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair. (More pictures below.) We wore sarees and enjoyed amazing Indian dishes all together.
