Este documento presenta una charla sobre el uso de las redes sociales y nuevas tecnologías para la resolución de conflictos. Se discute cómo las redes sociales han crecido exponencialmente y cómo pueden usarse para establecer relaciones y resolver disputas de manera online. También se destaca la importancia de promover la inclusión digital para construir la paz. Finalmente, se presenta la red social ODR Latinoamérica, lanzada en diciembre de 2008, que busca articular el uso de las nuevas tecnologías con la resolución de conflictos

- 15. "The territory where there is the biggest absolute gap between the enrolment of girls and boys in primary education is India. In India there are about 8 million fewer girls than boys enrolled in the first five years of education, ten times the number in any other territory.Other territories where there is a big difference in the percentages of girls and boys enrolled in primary education are: Yemen, Chad, Benin and Niger. The 2.5 million fewer girls than boys enrolled in Northern Africa are just part of the 9 million girls that could be enrolled in the first five years of education there, but are not.

- 17. Territories with a big difference in the ratio of girls to boys at primary level often have a bigger difference at secondary level. In those same territories significantly fewer boys are in secondary education, so the gap between total numbers of girls and boys enrolled in each year group remains at about 3 million worldwide.In 104 territories boys and girls are equally enrolled, or girls' enrolment slightly exceeds that of boys. These territories are mainly found in South America, North America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Anomalies in these regions, where more boys go to secondary school than girls, include: Peru, Guatemala, Bulgaria, Italy and Switzerland.
