Este documento presenta el plan de estudios de un curso de idioma moderno (inglés) para la Licenciatura en Educación en la Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez en Venezuela. El curso consiste en 8 unidades que cubren temas como organización del estudio, organización de párrafos, generalizaciones, descripciones, psicología educativa, currículo, uso del diccionario y evaluación. Cada unidad incluye objetivos, contenido y bibliografía relacionada.

- 2. INTRODUCCIÓN El campo educacional es una de las áreas científicas sujetas a un sin número de innovaciones y experiencias, la mayoría de las cuales están versadas en el idioma inglés. En consecuencia, para que nuestros estudiantes conozcan los trabajos más recientes que sobre educación hayan sido publicados, pero que todavía no han sido traducidos al español, necesitarán tener un conocimiento del idioma inglés el cual les permitirá tener una visión más amplia de los adelantos que en educación se están realizando. El presente curso denominado “Idioma Moderno”, está destinado a los participantes de la Licenciatura en Educación y tiene como finalidad capacitarlos para leer y comprender textos ingleses relacionados con las diferentes disciplinas del campo educacional. Los textos seleccionados se hallan correlacionados con las disciplinas contenidas en el pensum de la Licenciatura de Educación, tales como: Métodos y Técnicas de Estudio, Filosofía de la Educación, Vitae, sociología y Evaluación.
