Director of Finance And Accounting

An established organization in Washington, DC, is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to oversee consolidated financial operations and lead a shared services finance team. This executive role ensures sound financial management, compliance, and strategic planning across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and investments.
• Oversee payroll, audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Partner with business offices to align policies, controls, and reporting.
• Lead implementation of new accounting systems and process improvements.
• Provide financial insights and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• CPA - Washington Licensed
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years in senior finance leadership roles.
• Strong change management experience in shared services
• Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
