Director of Finance And Operations

My client is a for-profit organization within the entertainment industry looking for a Director of Finance to join their team in Mclean, VA. The ideal Director of Finance for the role will be responsible for supporting the overall accounting operations, overseeing staff accountants, posting various journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts monthly, analyzing financial reports and preparation of the financial statements. The organization is located in a great area, has great work-life balance and excellent benefits.

Daily responsibilities of the Director of Finance include:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations.
• Oversee Staff Accountants.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Post various journal entries.
• Assist with month-end close.
• Assist with other ad hoc duties.

The ideal Director of Finance we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

• 5-6+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or pursuing CPA licensure, preferred.
• Prior experience within hospitality and entertainment industry, a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
