Yet, as our InsurShift discussions showed, it is still not anticipated – and therefore remains reactive. Making it more intuitive, data-driven, and connected to the rest of the journey is just the foundation - what this means: 1. Claims still rely on paperwork: Many claims still start with long, manual forms. Conversational interfaces can help guide customers more naturally – and reduce friction. 2. Despite first GenAI cases, data remains disconnected: Claims handling rarely brings together underwriting logic, past claims, and real-time signals. Without this foundation, decisions stay slow and generic – and GenAI adds little value. 3. Claims/risk prevention is an executive topic: Yes, with the right signals, insurers could act before something goes wrong. But real prevention goes beyond sending notifications. It requires bolder initiatives, insurance product redesign and alignment across the organisation.
