When someone struggles with focus or impulsivity, it’s easy to assume it’s “just life.” But with tools like QbCheck, we can measure it more clearly. QbCheck is a clinically validated tool used in ADHD assessments to track attention, movement, and impulsivity in real-time. It’s recommended by NICE for children and young people aged 6–17, but also widely used in adult assessments to provide supportive, objective data. 🔍 Why it matters: QbCheck helps build a more complete clinical picture, adding evidence to what you’re experiencing, and helping rule out or explore other factors. It’s not a diagnostic tool on its own. But in expert hands, it strengthens the process and supports clearer outcomes. #adhdassessment #qbcheck #neurodiversitysupport

Writing this blog was one of the most difficult stances I’ve taken on. Not because the data wasn’t there—it’s all right in front of us. The hardest part was confronting how deeply normalized this issue has become. We’ve accepted a school system where kids line up at noon for controlled substances… while safer, gentler alternatives remain stigmatized or banned outright. If a child has an asthma inhaler at school, no one blinks. If a child takes a stimulant or benzo, it’s quietly normalized. But if a child uses carefully dosed cannabis for seizures or autism, it’s forbidden. What does that say about our values—or our blind spots? My hope is that this piece sparks a conversation that goes beyond medicine, into the realms of culture, ethics, and the future of care. https://lnkd.in/eZ8hvJr8

The Kids Are Not Alright—But Their Prescriptions Are Filled on Time At lunch hour, thousands of U.S. students line up for medications in schools. ADHD stimulants. Benzodiazepines. Opioids. The goal: focus, calm, relief. The risk: cognitive side effects, diversion, and lifelong dependency. We’ve normalized what should be alarming. As prescriptions rise, so do overdose deaths and ER visits. The silence is costing us future leaders, innovators, and families. If we can lock up these drugs at school, we can also unlock a better conversation about how to truly support our kids.
