When others couldn’t, we did:  EnviroServ Waste Management (Pty) Ltd’s Haztech team turned a tough challenge into a win for both the client and the environment. After a previous provider was unable to complete the project, we removed, transported, and safely disposed of 16,992 tonnes of dam sludge—including hazardous mercury and fluoride. Not stopping there, we refined the solution and, in 2024, launched our Sludge Dewatering Plant—a breakthrough that delivers lower operational costs, diverts more wastewater from landfill, reduces carbon emissions through fewer transport loads, and significantly improves overall environmental performance. By finding an alternative use for this waste stream, we moved it up the hierarchy for treatment and reuse—proving innovation + technical expertise = real results.
