Takeaways from Story Circle: Hope

We'd like to send a big THANK YOU to our storytellers who joined us on Monday for our session on hope, as well as our guest facilitator Jeanne Lambin! As we reflect, here are some themes that emerged from our group exploration of stories about hope:

  • Hope is a catalyst to action, and the first step on a journey.
  • Hope is scalable. It can be a drop of water or an ocean. We can have the right amount of hope for the moment. Sometimes, we don't need a huge amount to sustain us forevermore, but just enough to get us to the next moment.
  • Whether or not we can instill hope in others, we can hope for others and affect their circumstances through our hope for them.

We also had people curious about whether or not hope is teachable. Short answer- yes! Jeanne Lambin is developing a course that we'll be offering centered around teaching hope. Stay tuned for that and for our next Story Circle on January 11, 2021 from 12pm-1:30pm EST!

Sounds wonderful! And do we get to hear it if we weren’t at the interview?
