- #11: As we’re about to see there a lots of white papers to read and digest when going through the certification process. Many are dry reading material, however much of the certification exam material comes directly or indirectly from AWS whitepapers.
- #14: Look for the kindle guides for all of these topics They are all free and can be read simply with the kindle app even if you don’t have a kindle reader.
- #16: By creating a NEW aws account just for studying you will have a new years worth of the trial credits to use. If this is your 2nd account this will also come in handy as your go to the more difficult items in some of the professional tests like SSO. Hands on practice for understanding the concepts is a must!
- #17: Getting comfortable with the testing format of Multiple choice and multiple answer along with marking items for review for later can be one of the keys to succes. Try not to spend more then 2 minutes on a question no matter which test you are taking. . This becomes especially important when taking the professional exam when the test can be as much about reading and comprehending both the question and answer and then the answers below.
- #20: Many of the tests have the same basic information. If you plan on getting multiple certifications then plan on taking multiple tests sequentially. However note that Professional tests extend the 2 years of your Association tests before recertification period.
- #21: One of the best things I did was to take some of the services and calls and just take a legal pad and write down the items to commit to memory. To commit to memory I then re-typed the notes after re-watching a relevant video or practicing an exercisie to re-commit the items to memory. I then had the sheets to look over as I was preparing to take the test and also when I was reviewing ones I missed.
