- 4. A Sample Lesson Plan • 1. Aim: To increase the students’ familiarity with conventions of telephone conversation. • 2. Objectives: Students are expected to develop ability in predicting and anticipating what someone will say on the phone. • They are also expected to develop ability in requesting and receiving information over the phone. • 3 Activities : the above objectives are put into action through the following activities. • 1. Predicting and Requesting Information Activity : Students have to identify who the participants are , what they are going to do , and when. • 2. Vocabulary Extension Activity : Students will first comprehend and then produce necessary vocabulary related to the topic discussed. 4. Procedure (techniques) • Pre-listening (without specific directions). • Listening to tapes (with specific directions). • Whole-class discussion. • Schemata-building discussion (knowledge building). • Listening activity. • Extra-class work assignment.
