TYPES OF SPAN OF MANAGEMENT – WIDE SPAN MANAGEMENT • The structures of wide span is FLAT. • Here wide refers to a more complex supervisory. • It takes little time to reach the appropriate points as compared to narrow. • It is less expensive than narrow span. – NARROW SPAN MANGEMENT • The stucture of narrow span is TALL. • Since span is narrow so it means less number of subordinates under one superior. • It takes lots of time to reach the appropriate points. • It is expensive .
