• Editor (verification of content quality)
• Follow up for content and resubmission
• Examination
Tips for faculty
• Use 6W’s to compile the knowledge (What, where, Why, How, When,
What)
• Use ebooks and physical books
• Use the template format
• May use copy and paste (subject to limit from a single source)
Laying content quality guidelines
• How much plagiarism is allowed?
• How to collect images from physical books?
• Take photo with camera and add to content.
• Text must be typed, figures and tables must be labeled.
• Content must be non searchable??
Text format
• Fonts
• Formatting sections, sub-sections and sub-subsections
• Style, spacing and numbering in sections, and sub sections
Current issues of SLM
• All submissions will be different as formats are not defined clearly
• Lack many points such as
• Captioning for figures needed or not
• Captions for tables needed or not
• Size of all captions
• Whether table of contents needed or not
• Format of table of contents
• Format of Objectives
• Numbering of Titles and subtitles needed or not
• Format for numbering of titles
• Type of pictures, tables, etc. needed (Colored pictures may not work well in black and white
printing)
• Size of pictures and tables
• Size of tentative paragraphs (defining too large)
• Submission format of file with specification of name of unit
Current issues and suggestions
• Editing without a template will lead to accumulation of more working
hours and delay in submission
• A standard template may help to reduce the time drastically and
ensure a consistent format throughout.
• All formatting and explanation of formatting done in the template so
that faculty finds it easy to use.
• Easy to train when single template is given to faculty
• Next time, faculty may find it easy to use.
