Xpose architecture 3.0

Xpose-NG is releasing version 3.0 of its ITS application framework to address limitations of the outdated version 2.0. Version 3.0 features improved and simplified domain models, full integration with mobile platforms, and improved search and export functionality. While not backwards compatible, version 3.0 supports migrating data from old systems either through a "big-bang" approach or one-time data conversion. ESAM will provide support and custom applications for the new open-source version beginning in early 2014.

Why version 3.0?
Version 2.0 is reaching its “end-of-life” (EOL).
Development started in 2006 and parts are already outdated
Because of technological restrictions new functionality is difficult
to implement. However:
Users want “highly reactive” and “mobile” user-interfaces with “near realtime” response times,
Users want extensible systems which allows them to add new functionality
without having to wait for new software releases,

- 5. Xpose-NG Migration New version is not compatible with previous versions; Migration can be: “Big-bang” : Only use the new system One time data conversion: Migrate old data to new format, Additional system: Both old and new working and an additional service layer to access “old” data.

Xpose-NG Support From Q1-2014, Xpose-NG will be available as open-source software under version 2.0 of the Apache Software License Custom applications* will be available for test- and evaluation purposes, ESAM provides additional support for: Advice, Design, Development, Integration, Installation, Migration, Hosting * All provided applications are distributed under a dual-license.
