Este documento analiza la logística inversa (LI) en Colombia, enfocado en sus costos operativos y oportunidades de mercado, identificando barreras para su implementación en sectores económicos clave. Se destaca un crecimiento en el consumo y desecho de productos plásticos, así como la necesidad de regulaciones legislativas sobre la gestión de desechos peligrosos. Se concluye que, aunque hay interés en la LI, los costos de recolección y decisiones de inversión limitan el uso de materiales recuperados.

To recognize the barriers for implementing efficient RL strategies Objective The Model: The problem : Characterization of fourteen main national and economical sectors to address the implementation of Reverse Logistics in industries and companies accomplished with the need of reducing the environmen- tal burden of their products or dividing value of them. Situation 1 : The literature shows examples of successful implementations in industrialized countries. Situation 2 : The dynamics of Colombian sectors have arose in a recent interest of product return flows. Situation 3 : Identifying as important drivers for strategic and operational issues for the implementation of RL, the operational costs, marketplace opportunities and barriers are distinguished beyond numerous factors of analysis. The approach : 25 oriented questions has been made to ten experts directing in five representative companies of Colombian Plastic Industry SPSS is used as a tool to describe and compare the results obtained.
