Learning Outcomes of the Course
1. Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to:
2. Appreciate the wealth of natural resources we have and know how to protect it.
3. Describe the major environmental issues facing the humanity, globally and in India.
4. Explain the cause, effect and ways to reduce the important issues such as pollution,
global warming, and energy etc
5. List the key Sustainable Development Goals, which are closely related to
environmental issues.
6. Present environmental issues using innovative methods to an audience.

7. Illustrate best practices for conservation and restoration of different natural resources.
8. Debate environment related issues and their possible solutions.
9. Report on a ground level situation based on observations, reading and meeting people.
10. Have diversified knowledge in the broad areas such as the impact of Human intervention
and expansion on the environment:What kind of damage has happened till now? what will
happen in the next 20, 50 and 100 years if we go on like this?.
11. Explain the environmental problems and solutions in a global and societal context to
normal citizenry.
12. Be able to do secondary research, search information, abstract and present in written form
and presentation mode.

the environment
