The study presents a real-time drowsy driver detection system using image processing techniques, particularly Haar Cascade classifiers for face and eye detection, to mitigate the high incidence of accidents caused by driver fatigue in India. The proposed system monitors eye movements and blink patterns to assess drowsiness, activating an alarm when prolonged eye closure is detected. Testing under various conditions demonstrated the effectiveness of the system across different driver postures and while wearing spectacles.
