● It is self-sustaining, recycles nutrients, is
diverse, utilized existing and managed natural
resources, organic, and low impact.
● Harvest will supply my family with surplus to
sell or give to friends and neighbors.
Permiculture
● #2 Catch and Store Energy
I was originally going to choice #3 (Producing a Yield) until I
thought about it for some time. Although having some fruit to
show from my labor would be ideal, it is not the primary
intention of my goals. In the literal sense I plan to incorporate
nutrient recycling by composing, spreading manure on the
fields and I have already started experimenting with solar on
my chicken coop. Rain collection will be used as well as a
water tower that will be filled my a pond on site. The energy
that I would like to catch and store the most is the energy
expelled my myself and my family and I think that is the
biggest reason I am undertaking this project. This energy can
be in the physical form, through memories, experiences and
mental wellness.
