This document presents an improved parallel prefix algorithm for prefix computation on an otis-mesh of trees, requiring 10log n + o(1) electronic moves and 1 optical move, which is a better performance compared to previous algorithms. The paper details the algorithm's structure, communication methods, and computational model, including a breakdown of tasks at each step of the computation process. It concludes with suggestions for future work on optimizing the algorithm further and applying it to other interconnection networks.
