This document describes an automated drip irrigation system that controls a water pump motor using soil moisture sensors. The system uses a microcontroller interfaced with soil moisture sensors to monitor the moisture levels of 3 different plant pots. When the soil is dry, the microcontroller activates a relay to power the water pump. A GSM module sends SMS messages with the pump status and soil moisture levels. The system aims to reduce water usage through precise drip irrigation control based on real-time soil moisture readings. It allows remote monitoring of crop cultivation and automatic irrigation when needed to save water, electricity and labor compared to conventional flood irrigation methods.
