- 2. Analyze Learners • 4th graders • 11 girls, 9 boys • Group Work • Hands on activities
- 3. Main Objective • My 4th grade students will memorize and learn the simple times tables chart of only numbers 1-10 after breaking into groups and discussing and analyzing the chart and then presenting to the class through discussion what they found is the easiest way to memorize certain parts of the chart because of similarities or whatever the reason may be by the end of the week with 80% accuracy.
- 4. Monday-Friday Breakdown • Monday – break into groups (4 groups of 5), given 45 minutes of class time to break into groups and discuss the times tables chart then present to the class what they found to be helpful in memorizing • Tuesday – after going over several riddles, each group will be assigned a different riddle, given 45 minutes of class time to come up with a dance to help each other remember their riddle, then perform for the class • Wednesday – (not in groups) 45 minutes of class time to watch several videos that are helpful to remember certain times tables • Thursday – (not in groups) play games with flash cards and using shapes and blocks to go over the times tables • Friday – (not in groups) competition day, simple times tables worksheet will be given, whoever finishes first with all correct answers will get a prize, show video I put together of group performances
